Said I didn't have a reservation when I did

I made my reservation on hotels.com but when I arrived, the front desk person said I had no reservation. There was a smell in the front lobby and in our room. It was ok for a quick overnight stay.

It was fine. Decently clean but not overly so. Definitely smelled like weed, but I kinda consider that a plus. I was there for one night passing through and I was able to sleep and keep driving the next day. Definitely felt safe and my truck bed full of stuff didn’t seem to be messed with so. Yay

I appreciate the lower prices being avaiable in the area. But it was only a few years ago that a lower price ranged $55 - $70 and when I started using Motel 6 a few years prior to that it was a VERY common to get a "Clean, Comfortable Room" pretty much anywhere in the Midwest for $39 per night. I know things, ("a lot of things") have changed and we need to accept lesser value for lower prices. But how high should those lower prices be for accepting a little lesser value in our stay? On the Staff: the Front Desk were acceptable in their attitude. But a brighter than usual spot was a lady in Housekeeping; as we left on Sunday morning (sorry I don’t recall her name). Well, that individual lady was kind, personable and we both wished each other (for the most part) a GREAT day.

The location is near a busy trucj stop, the nearest station was a little sketchy. The location is great for privacy but not great for convience. There were barki g dogs, the laundry room was really loud. Out if the way locations are great when the view isnt a teuck stop.
