From our door to toes in the sand is a 4 minute walk or 2 minute golf cart ride! No dragging kids and beach gear through the sand. Throw it in the golf cart and you are at the sand in a flash!! We welcome you to one of the most highly reviewed homes in WindMark Beach! Our guests will enjoy a spacious and beautifully decorated home with three outdoor entertaining areas to make lasting memories with friends and family.

WindMark Community - The Blue Moon, A Spacious and Beautifully Decorated Home!
It's once in a Blue Moon that you find a vacation home like this one! The Blue Moon, built in 2020, is nestled in the beautiful beachside community of Windmark Beach. After spending your days at the beach or community pool, your family and friends will enjoy relaxing and playing in this spacious and beautifully decorated home that boasts four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The unique layout of this home features an attached, but separate living area complete with a bedroom, a full bathroom, living room, dining area, full kitchen, that will perfectly accommodate two families or a large multigeneration family! Relax on the oversized cloud couch in the second living room which is perfect for teens who want their own space, or a second family that has little ones who need a quiet place for naps. The open concept living area in the main house comfortably seats eight at the dining room table and then another four at the kitchen island. A modern and fully stocked kitchen will make those large family dinners a breeze. After dinner, enjoy a cocktail (or two) on the back porch or sitting by the firepit!
When you're ready to hit the beach, jump in the golf cart or hop on one of 4 bikes included. If you choose to walk, it’s four minutes from door to sand! Your day will be filled with adventure when you and the family explore our beautiful waters with two stand up paddle boards! After a long day at the beach, cool off in the large community pool.

For years, our family has rented other people’s vacation homes. Over these years, we have taken note of things we loved, and things that we did not. With this home, we have tried to think of all the things that make vacationing comfortable and appealing. We have a large family, and the things we think are important are lots of space, a comfortable and inviting outdoor area, a well-equipped and stocked kitchen (I hate having to bring spices!!), lots of towels, and a comfortable couch that fits everyone!! This home was appealing to us because it fit all our criteria. We absolutely love the home and have fallen in love with the neighborhood, and with Port St. Joe. We are so excited to share our home with you and your family, and hope that you will love it as much as we do! Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Windmark Beach is near downtown Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, and Apalachicola.
Golf Cart – The golf cart is included with the rental once approval has been made by the owner. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted to drive the golf cart.
Paddle Boards - The paddle boards are included with the rental.

Other things to know:
* The house and City of Port St. Joe is on the western most section of the Eastern Time Zone in Florida. Enough so, that your cell phone may tell you otherwise.
* If you are planning to fish, check https://myfwc.com/license/ and https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/saltwater-fishing/shoreline-faqs/
* Windmark Beach has 24 hour security. The golf cart is a motor vehicle and all rules of the road apply. Underaged and non-licensed drivers can be pulled over and ticketed.
* Boat parking is not available in Windmark Beach, but there is a place very close by that offers reasonably priced boat parking.
* Windmark beach has two restaurants, a bar, and a candy and ice cream shop all accessible by the golf cart.
* Grocery shopping options in Port St. Joe are the Dollar General and the Piggly Wiggly. * The Piggly Wiggly does not sell alcohol. Both are within a five-minute drive from the home.
* Port St. Joe has an adorable farmer’s market and local vendor sale the first and third Saturday of the month. It is located at the end of Reid Avenue near the gazebo.
* There is no smoking allowed on this property. The house is monitored on the front and back with security cameras with audio.

Let me start with a positive, Julia was very responsive all throughout the booking process and offered a refunded cleaning fee once I reached out upon arrival.This home has a great layout and so much potential. It is obvious it does not get cleaned properly between stays.I’m never one to leave reviews, especially negative. Normal wear and tear on a rental is expected. The shape of this rental looks nothing like the listing.The home is in desperate need of a DEEP clean. We had hair, food residue and blood in the main master bed. I was having to wash linens our first night. The bathroom had “hairs” in the shower, on the sink and on the toilet paper holder. There was mold and mildew on faucets as well as shower curtains & liners. Food found in couch and the floor underneath the furniture hadn’t been swept, vacuumed or mopped in some time. Everything was dingy, showing black from the dirt build up over time and just made us feel icky.Any wall art, beds, door frames and baseboards were filthy. Lined with dirt and dust.Cockroaches in the shared bathroom.We left the home disappointed and would not return to this property.

Great stay on a little piece of paradise!

We had a great week exploring Port St. Joe! The beach was clean, the ocean was calm, and the house was stocked with everything we needed to have an enjoyable time. We felt right at home & were able to enjoy some relaxation immediately! The golf cart, paddle boards, bikes, beach toys, beach chairs & towels were all fantastic amenities! Fabulous stay!

This house was perfect for our group of nine!Two stocked kitchens, two living spaces and fabulous sleeping accommodations for all of us. This host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She was very responsive while on property (there were no problems, just a few questions). The house itself was pristine and it is a part of a lovely community with boardwalks and pathways and a few shops/restaurants. The beach is an easy walk or an easier golf cart or bike ride (all provided). There were enough towels and chairs for all 9 of us! The house is a 5 minute drive to downtown Port St. Joe which has great shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this property and host!

Perfect home near the bay!

We stayed with my parents, brother and his now finance, and our 4 young children. The space was plenty big for us each to branch out. It was very clean and Julia has the home stocked with everything you need for cooking down to an awesome day at the beach. It’s just a short walk to the beach or golf cart ride to the little town where our kids could get ice cream and go swimming in the heated pool. This location wasn’t crowded and really laid back which is more our style. We’d definitely love to come stay again! Our twins are ready to move to Florida after this trip!

Florida family-more feedback with photos

This review should come as no surprise to the property owner, as I was in contact since Day 1 prior to check in (traveling) and upon discovery of the keypad not working for a week long stay with guests. I was offered one (1) key and it was only after my refusal to only have the single key for use by ALL guest for the duration of a week, was the offer made to have other keys made- apparently they only use a local (loyalty to the company as opposed to the convenience of paid guests) instead of having the keys made as soon as possible and available at check in. I made calls and sent text messages ALONG WITH PHOTOS throughout Day 1, in response to several messages regarding my satisfaction, in which I expressed my DISSATISFACTION with the lack of details to cleanliness and upkeep of the property (several listed below). Another issue was the unavailability of the Main Bedroom closet (A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE) for the length of the stay-no consideration for house guests. I have rented many properties, however NEVER EXPERIENCED a time when to main bedroom closet was used a the “owner’s closet!” I did not want to inconvenience my family and elderly guests with relocating to use the other closet-the recommendation is to relocate the “owner’s items to the hall closet, which was already filled with household items (not well organized). I placed my suitcase in bedroom chair that immediately became unstable and the legs pulled away from the chair-the furniture in the entire property is old.

Absolutely Wonderful!

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. As before, Julia was an incredible host. She made sure we had everything we needed before, during and after our stay. This place is wonderful! The house is beautiful, the neighborhood friendly & quiet, and the beach is a short walk or cart ride away. Our family loves all the amenities and our teens especially enjoyed the bikes. It was the perfect vacation.

The Perfect Beach House!

From start to finish everything about this property and host was wonderful! Julia was great to provide all the info we needed to make sure we knew what to expect and helpful tips. The house was bigger than we expected and clean! So much space for the 10 of us and so many extras! From games and beach gear to spices and trash bags!! Both kitchens are stocked! And having 2 refrigerators and coffee makers came in super handy with such a large group. The location of the house was perfect right betweeen mexico beach and Port St Joe. Then a short drive over to Cape San Blas. But we preferred the quiet private beach at Windmark that we could easily get to via bike, golf cart or walking. Ample seating in the house, comfy beds, extra blankets. Literally everything you could need!

Absolutely fantastic

We loved our stay here and the house was fantastic, quiet and lots of room for all of us to sleep and some of us longer than others! We loved being able to use the golf cart and fishing gear! Traveled to many of the area beaches and had a lovely vacation. Julia was a fantastic host, answered questions so quickly and gave us updates about when the pool needed fixing and when it was again available for use. Wonderful spring break!! Girls getaway

This was really the best trip. We did a in honor or mom who passed girls trip. We was able to get away and just relax and unwind and it was perfect. The view, the location the golf cart and home was more then we could have imagined. We ended the trip with a golf cart ride, pool time, and a back yard fire with s’mores …. This may have been the first year but it definitely won’t be the last!!!

Our New Favorite Place

My husband, 2 of our teens & I needed a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Before Hurricane Michael Mexico Beach had been our favorite destination & we have been hoping to return to the area. When searching for a rental I found several places in the area and Blue Moon quickly rose to the top of the list. The listing showing the spacious home, plentiful amenities and access to the beach won us over. Upon arrival we were thrilled to find everything was exactly as promised. The mother-in-law apartment came in very handy when my parents & brother joined us for a few days. The whole house is wonderful. The owners thought of everything! We had plenty of room, privacy & space to visit. My brother liked using the back deck for his morning exercises. The golf cart was my favorite amenity, and our teens loved the bicycles. The beach is a short ride either by car or golf cart & we even walked down several times. The pool was a favorite place to visit as well. Julia was a fantastic host answering our questions quickly & with great kindness. She made sure everything was set for our arrival & even helped me add an extra day to our stay. Our family has unanimously agreed this is our new favorite place to stay at the beach & hope to return next summer.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this property, loved the area, amenities and the beach! The kids really enjoyed the golf-cart! We would be happy to return and the host was great!

Family and friends week

The house was perfect for our large group of kids and adults. Julia, the owner, was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful with an issue or two that we encountered during our stay. Kids loved the bikes, boards, and golf cart. The neighborhood was perfect and we felt safe letting the kids bike around to meet new friends and explore. Pool and beach are easy to access. Overall, great stay and we plan to rent again if we’re back in Port St Joe.

Great Family Vacation Spot

Three generations of our family stayed at this home in June and had a great family vacation. The house had everything we needed and more. We stayed with our two sons and their families (6 adults 4 children) and there was plenty of space for everyone. The property is close to the beach, community pool and restaurants. The owner is very responsive to questions or concerns and answered quickly. We definitely will stay here again!
