I reserved a room that was supposed to be water side and was told that it was not the type of room I reserved so they asked if I would change to street side, which was fine, but they neglected to tell me that they had construction in front of the building so it was loud and inconvenient. I was told that my room would be ready at 4pm when check in was and when I arrived at 5:30pm I was told that my room was not ready so they again changed my room and the gentleman checking me in acted as though I was an inconvenience to him. My door in my bathroom was a pocket door and it did not shut properly, my sink did not drain properly and then the refrigerator froze everything no matter where it was. I informed the lady at check out of all of these things, but she already was acting annoyed with me because she had to hang up her phone from her gossip session. I have always loved to stay at this property but after this trip and how expensive it has gotten even with all the things wrong, including that there is no longer any breakfast, I will likely never stay with them again! Super sad.. because I am from the area and this place has historical significance... but one good thing.. the beds are very comfortable and they offer make up towels ... so there is that...
