When we got there at 3:45, the line to check in took almost a half-hour. And it just kept getting longer as we moved up the line. The guy who checked us in apologized and mentioned it was a concert Saturday which means the hotel is usually booked up. That just made me wonder, if this is the expectation for saturdays, why is there not a better check in system / why have they not added a third check in person? I also couldn’t believe there was only one tiny elevator that barely worked! Got stuck when we were in it. Used the stairs to the 5th floor from then on… at least the room was comfy

The room was not clean. The bathroom had black mold in the shower and the bowed curtain rod was installed so closely to the shower head the curtain was touching your body when showering. The outlet switch in the bathroom was grimy and also had mold around the plate. The hallway carpet was dingy and stained and smelly. Not a good experience.

The hotel definitely needs a facelift but it was fine for a brief one night stay. The bed was comfortable. When the elevator got stuck on the 5th floor while we waited in the lobby, the front desk clerk was quick to walk up the 5 flights to address the situation.

I found the Clarion to be very much a product of its time. The decades since it was built show in the carpeted pool area, the small bathrooms, the clunky elevator. Old enough to be noticably old but not old enough to be retro chic. Fine for a night or two but not as an extended stay. Actual restaurant for breakfast was nice.

To begin, the entrance to the property is poorly marked. We drove past it before noticing the hotel. It was a challenge to get to the actual hotel entrance. The exterior has a look of an older marginally maintained hotel. It shares a portion of its parking lot with two other businesses that did not look enticing. The room doors on our floor did not look in great shape. The window sheers in our room were in shreds. The curtains were okay, just barely covered the window. The A/C was not the best but kept the room cool. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was acceptable. Breakfast was not included in the room rate. There is a restaurant of some fashion off the lobby. We did not partake, so I cannot offer a review of it.

Rude employees, dirty room

First, the reception employees were quite rude. I called the day of our check-in to see if we could check in early, and was informed curtly, "Check-in is at 3pm. Bye." When we did check in, the guy barely said a word to us, didn't smile, and was engaged in a personal call through one of his airpods. Second, the room itself was dirty. The carpet was sticky and rendered my white socks completely brown and disgusting within a day. The floor of the bathroom was also sticky and unwashed. Third, the "breakfast" advertised was a tiny room with maybe 3 pastries in it. Nothing else. Several other guests and I went wandering around to see if we had missed something. But no. I know this hotel isn't in the top tier of luxury, but these are very basic things to get right.

Daniel at the front desk was friendly and stored our bags for us while we went to the Children’s Museum nearby. Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean and nice. Only problem was the windows were up high and small. No view but if you looked out it would have been the roof. Also the small windows made it hard to adjust the airflow. We did get a late check out for free.

We were going to a concert at Thompson's Point and this hotel was the perfect location. It was under a 10 minute walk to the show. Also, the people working behind the desk were very nice.

Transport access was excellent and all we had to do was book through the desk. Decor and condition a bit dated but serviceable. Reasonable price. About a mile from downtown. Easy access to Amtrak station.
