Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. The problem I had was with the bed. For me it was way too soft and caused back pain and restless sleep. I should have asked if they had a firmer mattress or any remedy. My fault for not asking. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Portland.

Easy access to interstate but far enough so that it’s quiet at night. Rooms and public areas were clean and up to date. Breakfast was good but not great. We were happy to eat it. Desk staff are friendly, courteous, efficient, and professional. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is clean and staff was nice. The pool is a decent size. Hot breakfast food could use some improvement and our bed was quite uncomfortable. The hotel is quite a bit away from Portland city center. We walked one morning and found ourselves in a questionable area while walking to city center past Deering Park on Park Ave.

Easy to find, close to the airport and only 9 min from downtown Portland. The staff was friendly at checkin and the facility is welcoming. The rooms and beds were average in comfort. The yuk came when we found sand in the bed and the pillows smelled strongly of others body spray or perfume. Could be explained by a lot of things but did not leave a great impression.

Great if you don't have a car

While we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room (and the hotel in general), I feel I have to chime in on the parking fee. As has been noted in other reviews, there is a $10 per night parking fee that is not mentioned until check-in. We were a bit taken aback because we didn't get charged when we stayed here about a year ago. There is no garage or attendant either - it's simply a fee to put your car in the lot. While I understand that upkeep of a hotel is expensive, it seems like this could have been rolled into the room rate or - at the very least - mentioned as an add-on at time of booking not at the time of checking-in (when you are past the point of cancellation). For us, it was only two nights, but I can only imagine what it must feel like to be charged nightly for a week. I wish I could say it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, but it kinda did. We may stay here again because the rooms really are quite clean and comfortable, but I will be comparing prices assuming that the room costs an extra $10 a night. (As for it being a way to only charge those who take advantage of that particular amenity, I assume the cost of the free breakfast is rolled into the room rate. We only partook in that amenity once, but I wouldn't expect a discount for not eating at the buffet both days. That logic goes both ways.)

I would have expected a better outcome. The floor wasn’t clean. Little pieces of trash all over. Television had fingerprints all over it. Toilet paper spool had an empty toilet paper spool without toilet paper? Anyhow, I expected more from a higher-end motel.
