The AC didn't work the first day. The restaurant was not open the 1st day, which was not published. We got two glasses of wine from the bar, and they smelled like nail polish remover. Told the bartender, and nothing was done about it. In room 422 they kept the room open for staff to party in it. We were next to the room. We called down about the noise, but the front desk refused to listen to our concerns and address the issue. This was totally inappropriate!! I would avoid this place.

The sparkling water was out of order. They did not have tissues or tongs for the ice bucket. The options for the free beverage were limited. The customer service was prompt and friendly. If you have a dog, this is the placw for you to stay at. Additional parking was available at the lower garage around the corner from the main entrance.

Service and location are great . Kennedy at the front desk was amazing! The location is great to walk to restaurants and bars or on the water. The bad part of it is the hotel is in poor condition. Our shower wasn’t clean, room is tiny and needs to be remodeled. The amenity fee is not worth it. The free water bottle and free drinks are nice but wouldn’t stay here again due to the other issues.

I was happy with how centrally located this was and how amazing the service was! My only complaint is the that showers lack any sort of surface for shaving legs. I understand the sleekness and emptiness of modern showers are visually appealing but if you need to shave your legs, you will likely cut yourself like I did.

Perfect for Dog Owners, but Otherwise Look Elsewhere in Portland I recently stayed at Hotel Rose, and while it has a quirky charm, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The standout feature is its pet-friendly policy, making it a great option for travelers with dogs. However, if you're without a furry friend, I recommend seeking other accommodations. The moment I stepped off the elevator, I was greeted by a strong, sickly smell of disinfectant that lingered throughout the hotel, particularly in the hallways. It was quite off-putting. The overall appearance of the hotel felt shabby and in need of an update. My bathroom had peeling paint, and the walls showed signs of water damage from the poorly designed shower. To add to the discomfort, the mattress on my bed overhung the box springs, making it awkward to sit on the edge to put on my shoes. The two separate duvets on the bed felt odd and uncomfortable as well. While the front desk staff were friendly, they struggled to clarify the $24 daily amenity fee, which seemed unnecessary for items like water refills, Wi-Fi, and a cookie in the lobby. It would be better to include such costs in the overall price rather than itemizing them. Additionally, the hotel's location on the edge of the central business district made me uneasy, as I encountered homeless individuals in the area, giving it a slightly shady vibe. In summary, if you're traveling with dogs, Hotel Rose could work for you, but if not, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Pineapple hotels are great. The Rose is in a perfect location downtown especially for using public transportation.Their friendly staff responded to every request we had. Only issue was the bar—it wasn’t open every evening.

Didnt stay long, entered the room to the strong chemical smell of enzymatic cleaner and dog urine opened the balcony door and left for dinner in hopes it would air out; it did not. We went down to the service desk to request a room change and were diamissively told no other rooms were available and laughed at so we went back to the room to decide what to do and wrote an email to corporate, we decided to leave and gathered our luggage went downstairs to check out and now they attempted to change our room after previously claiming there were none due to us contacting corporate but we had already made up our minds to leave. Very disappointing that we still had to pay both the first full nights stay and the "resort fee" as the cancellation was due to room cleanliness issues. info claims only specific rooms are reserved for pets but clearly that wasnt the case as we did not request a pet friendly room.

Fantastic and unique hotel with tasteful decor and a great location. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and accommodating, and the hotel room was clean and modern with an awesome view. Also the free cold beer at check in was a nice bonus after a long travel day. Solid 5 stars.

A fun and quirky hotel. Such nice people and we loved the extra little touches like a free reusable water bottle (+ refills), complementary drinks (tea, coffee, or ipa), comfy beds and robes in the rooms. A little noisy since we were near the metro, but the room was nice and dark and we slept soundly.

Our room type was changed without any notice and the ADA accessible bathroom which we didnt need was very outdated and just didnt seem clean. Employees are nice but it wouldve been nice to have an option of a regular room or be told of the change at the very least.
