noisy, poor bathroom amenities to accomodate rooms

On the evening of Friday, August 1st, after returning from Crater Lake, we arrived at the resort only to discover that we were unable to get proper rest due to persistent and loud barking from a dog on the premises. The barking continued, making sleep extremely difficult, if not impossible. Regrettably, by the time we returned, your office was closed, and we had no way of addressing the issue in real time. The inability to reach staff or resolve the problem made the situation all the more frustrating. Given that peaceful rest is a basic and expected part of any hospitality experience, this disruption rendered our accommodations effectively unfit for purpose. We respectfully reuest a reimbursement for the stay due to the unacceptable sleeping onsite support during your posted hours. In addition, the bathroom accomodations were poor for all the rooms.

Appropriately listed as rustic. Only had a ceiling fan as advertised. I was comfortable. Dust on the bedframe and other areas. Awkward sharing bathroom but you have to know what you signed up for. Food at restaurant was good. The lady at check in was friendly and informative.

Check in was easy, but the cabin itself smells like an animal died in it. There are some spaces around windows and between boards in the floor that need attention—cleaning and refinishing. Conveniently located near the National Park, but needs so refreshing.

To call this a "resort" is generous. If you stay inside the main house area, you will have a prison cell sized room (not an exaggeration) and be forced to share 2 bathrooms with 9 other bedrooms of people. The rooms are upstairs (something I did not anticipate at a place with cabins) The only restaurant within 11 miles refuses to do to go orders. There is no Wi-Fi. They need to stop advertising that they have any. They don't. The surrounding area is beautiful, at least. I would not consider this place to be accessible to people with disabilities. Should advertise itself as a hostel so people at least know what they are getting into.

Only stay if you reserve a cabin!!

If you stay in the lodge, be aware that it is actually a “hostel.” You will be sharing a bathroom with many other guests, and our queen bed room had a chimney running through the middle of the room. Customer support was terrible and pretty rude.

A wonderful place to stay. We got lucky with a cabin by the creek which was amazing. Easy check-in, cabin was clean and comfortable, and staff were friendly. Easy access across the street to food and also the resort has a shop with necessities and snacks. Highly recommend this place!

Camping in style

They tell you upfront that it’s great opportunity to reconnect on a personal level; spotty to no Wi-Fi and no cellular service. Well stocked with a variety of necessities in the “lobby” area. Overall really relaxing place to stay and get away.

Had concerns about communal bathrooms but they are single use, nice and access was always available. It’s an older lodge with 8 or nine rooms. Nicely renovated. It’s an ambiance is what would be expected in this setting. I would definitely stay again if in the area

We had a bad experience at this property and do not recommend it! My family of four spent a night at the resort. We expected much better experience for the price we paid. The property does not match multiple areas as described on the advertising, so I consider this false advertisement. There is no air conditioner. This is an old wooden property which soaks up heat and remains hot for a long time into the night with a window wide open. I woke up with running nose after a night with cold air draft. Wifi would not connect. The hotel manager lied to me that federal government would not allow installation of another satelite dish to match internet demand. The door lock in the room was improperly installed and could be easily opened, which made my wife worried about our safety. First alarm system seems to be disabled as the hallway pull alarm activation handles were all pulled. We originally booked for two night, but decided to leave after the first night. I asked for partial refund and property manager refused even after I went through all of the above items. Manager was mostly respectful and calm, but certainly frustrated with having to manage such a run-down hotel.

Real cabin experience

We enjoyed this little cabin (#8) a lot, floor squeaks and all. The bed was a king and comfortable. The fact there was a good restaurant, ice cream shop and a store just across the road was great. The views of the Rogue River were fantastic from the area across the road and down just a little. For us it was only a one night stop on our way home.

The staff and location were excellent. We enjoyed the history of the area. The staff is what made the stay so enjoyable. They were helpful and gave great tips on the waterfalls and hiking

Cute and clean, but no AC-SO hot!

The place was clean and the beds were comfortable, but it was SO hot that we barely slept even with the fans on and the window open. Most of us slept with no blankets or sheets and were sweating all night. That really soured the visit.

Cute place conveniently located to Crater Lake and surrounding attractions. I can appreciate rustic & old, however the basic level of cleanliness of the floors & bathroom in our cabin, left a bit to be desired. Staff @ general store was AMAZING! We would stay again.

The worker who checked us in was so welcoming and did a great job explaining all of the benefits of the property and surrounding area. We really appreciated the maps with local hikes! We stayed in cabin 7 and it was huge, had a great layout and was so cute and cozy! We wish we would have booked a longer stay!

Didn't stay here. 3 things you don't want to hear upon checking in with 102 degrees outside... 1. No AC but there is a fan, we'll give you ice! It was a small desk fan. The listing said ceiling fan. 2. If you see rodents, let us know 3. Shared bathroom with other guest! It was 2 bathrooms for several rooms, at least 10... None of this is in the listing. While the room was clean, the entrance stair case was dark, and smelled. I have booked for years with Expedia, I'm reluctant to believe listings now! I want my money back!!!
