BYU Education Week stay

Room was comfortable, but always had a musty odor. Carpet update to tile needed, tub refinish & paint jobs sorely needed. Hallway carpeting needs to be redone - very old & worn. Very friendly & helpful front-desk staff. Had breakfast early on our check-out day. Cleaning staff ignored our requests. Ice machines not working. Morning juice machine not working, but thankfully they provided juice. Provided hot eggs & waffles, but ran out of yogurt the first day of our 6-day stay. Very nice setting by the river and excellent location for our needs. Pool was not usable. The excellent price made things acceptable. Probably would stay here again, unless the cost goes up without needed upgrades being done.

The food at breakfast was old. No waffle batter for waffles. Hair srtrands found in the bed. Our door secondary (flip-over) lock was broken. Thing were left around the hallway that should have been put away - eg ceiling tiles. Nice people but their version of clean and tidy is not the North American standard. Second floor was not good for us so they graciously moved us to the first floor. Great location for us .

This is a nice hotel if you want a larger suite and you like to have access to the Provo River trail. It is older and has some wear and tear, but I believe the price reflects that. Breakfast options are minimal. Overall, an affordable place to stay with river access.

Disappointing Stay – Not as Expected Communication from the staff was lacking — it’s possible the employee we dealt with was new, but it made things confusing. We specifically looked for a location with a complimentary breakfast, but what we got was just bread and muffins. The waffle machine and orange juice machine were both out of order, which was frustrating. The hallways clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and it showed. The hot tub was shut down by the Utah Health Department, and the pool was freezing cold. On top of that, it took about five minutes just to get warm water in the shower. Overall, this place offers the bare minimum. The surrounding area is actually quite nice, but unfortunately, that was the best part of our stay.

Tournament let-down

Or stay was very disappointing. We had 2 adjoining rooms for 2 nights. I treated my team grandson and a few of his baseball teammates so we wouldn't have to travel from north UT for the tournament. We checked in after the game and there was no hot water in either room. Was told by the mgr. the boiler was just repaired & we'd have to let the water run a few minutes. After running for 10 mins our water got warm enough to shower, the other room never got warm... for 3 days! On top of that the condition of their tub was so disgusting I'd bet there was mold behind the tile. Our tub had a porcelain refinish that was chipped and clogging the drain. As for the room, there were only a few outlets for charging phones etc. Bring a plug adapter. There are no USB outlets. Also... bring slippers. The carpet felt damp. I told the parents of these kids I'd take care of them. I was so embarrassed this is where I took them for there games.

The staff was friendly and the bed was clean and comfortable. The sheets and towels were clean. There was no elevator. The handrail on the back stairs was coming off. The carpet was not just worn but had an edge peeling which could be a trip hazard. The stairs didn't look like they had been vacuumed in a while and there were stains on the carpets everywhere, including the rooms. I think there was an attempt to make the rooms clean but the wear and tear is too much to overcome. Our full free breakfast consisted of two options of cold cereal and toast. We assume that waffles must have been offered that morning because we could smell them but we could see no batter and the mess at waffle machine seemed like a multiple day pile up. There was no protein to be seen. We passed and went to a restaurant down the street but were really disappointed. Will remember not to stay here again.

The condition of the property grounds as well as the room was bad. The we had 2 rooms, and 1 didn't have a shower curtain. dirty. Difficult to communicate with the clerk, defiantly would no recommend this hotel.
