Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive offers 1402 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature minibars and a safe. Rooms open to balconies. This individually decorated and furnished accommodation has separate sitting areas and includes dining tables. Beds feature premium bedding. I’ve stayed at this resort in 2015, 2019, 2023, and now again, but unfortunately, this will be my last time. The overall quality has declined tremendously. Check-in took over 1.5 hours. Despite one side moving faster, we were directed to the slower line with fewer workers available. Cleanliness was also an issue—there was a roach in our room on day one and others seen throughout the hotel. Food quality is not what it used to be. Santa Fe was mid at best. Coral (the seafood restaurant) served what they called lobster bisque—it looked and tasted like murky water with no seafood in sight. Room service, which used to be free, now costs extra and isn’t worth it. The burger and hot dog I ordered were barely edible. Trolley service was confusing and inconsistent. One driver wouldn’t help my mother, who has a knee condition, and dropped us at the wrong location. We had to walk back in the heat. Staff training seems lacking. Multiple workers admitted many experienced staff were fired and replaced without proper training. Tipping pressure – one of the bartenders at the sports bar was overheard repeatedly asking guests for tips. Pros: • Housekeeping was great—very sweet and thorough. • Raifer, our guest associate, was amazing and tried his best to help throughout the stay. • The pool was a nice temperature and a good size. • The Mexican, Spanish, and Japanese restaurants were okay, though service was still spotty. This used to be one of my favorite resorts in Punta Cana, but, not anymor

We stayed at Bávaro Palace with our two children (2.5 years and 8 months) and their grandmother, and the experience was far below expectations. We booked a Junior Suite, but at check-in we received no guidance about the family section or amenities — just a map without details. For such a large property, this made our first day difficult with two kids in strollers. The first night around 10:30 PM, someone knocked and tried to enter our room. The security lock didn’t hold, and I had to stop the door. It was a man with a resort wristband claiming a “system mistake” said our room should be empty. The next morning, our complaint was brushed off with, “We’ll investigate; it happens sometimes.” Later, a group of employees passed by while I walked with my toddler, and one made inappropriate comments. Combined with the first night’s event, we felt unsafe. Food was poor (only the arrachera at the Mexican restaurant was decent), and staff seemed untrained and disconnected. We cannot recommend this resort due to safety concerns, lack of organization, and disappointing food.

This was our first time in Punta Cana and we absolutely loved the service and the activities provided by the resort. The only downside to the entire trip was that the food offered at the buffet was not as fresh and authentic as we expected it to be. Aside from that we had a great time and would love to visit again.

I recently spent five wonderful days at the Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort and had an excellent experience. A special thanks goes to my butler, Enmanuel Portorreal, whose daily attentiveness and help with dinner reservations made my stay stress-free. His professionalism and dedication were truly appreciated. I’d also like to recognize Rosario and Almonte, the bartenders at the Taino Bar, for their warm hospitality and friendly service throughout my visit. Their welcoming attitude added a personal touch that made each day more enjoyable.

We traveled with a group of 31 and were disappointed. The rooms were filthy, the food was low quality—even the paid restaurants—and we saw roaches at the buffet. The beach was unusable due to algae and dead fish, so we stayed by the pool. The only highlight was the off-property Jellyfish restaurant. Staff was friendly, but the cleanliness was unacceptable.
