My room was adequate but clean. My most serious issue is that the outside doors have no locks and anyone can enter the building at any time of day or night, so for a single person I didn’t feel safe. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it has really gone down hill.

The staff was very friendly and the entrance and courtyard are nice. The room was old, quilt was ragged and torn, there was trash in one of the cans, there was hair on the floor of the bathroom, the walls are filthy. It definitely needs some work!

Check-in was easy, the room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was fine. The only issue was the there was no exterior handle on one of the entrance doors from the parking lot, so guests would prop the door open. This could easily result in unauthorized access to the hotel.

The LaQuinta on Hilltop in Redding is getting a bit tired. Shower dripped constantly, but could not really be heard. Looking a bit worn. Staff is friendly and responsive. Good free hot breakfast each morning with several choices. It was surprisingly quiet given it is right next to I-5 highway. Cattlemen restaurant attached for good dinner fare and cocktails (if so inclined).

The staff was nice and the continental breakfast was decent. That’s all I have nice to say about it. The room was gross and smelled like pee, the bed smelled weird and made it hard to fall asleep, the pool was green, the whole hotel was just in need of patching up. Really disappointed in this La Quinta.

There are numerous homeless all around the property. Numerous people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot and roaming the parking lot. The exterior doors were propped open w rocks so there is no secure entry/exit. My 1st room had a horrible odor of fish. The 2nd room had roaches climbing the walls. Will never stay there again.
