The room was very spacious, the beds were firm which I wouldn't usually like but I slept well and the shower was unreal. Felt like our own personal sauna. The staff were lovely, I had talked to two male members of staff during my stay and they were both outstanding. Very knowledgeable, keen to help us explore and gave great travel advice, also very friendly and were always excited to hear what we had planned. The response I had when I said I was from New Zealand was nice to hear as well. Service is what made this an outstanding stay.

Amazing stay! Would highly reccomend. Nothing was any trouble to them. Staff super friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy. Room was stunning and large. It was warm and beds were comfortable. Free croissants and tea and coffee for when you are off on your days out. Location was the best and could get anywhere in the city within 10 minutes walk. And northern lights i wouldnt bother with excurcsions just hire a car and drive into darkness to see them its FREE.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. I forgot which number bus stop it was near but, it helped out that it was close by. The room itself was clean, warm, and comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for us as we were able to come back and have dinner and breakfast before heading out. The area that it was in was also perfect and walkable to other areas in the city. It was still in the crowd but also away from it as well. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Clean room, warm and cosy. Not that big even if it was the biggest room, but okay for us. Central location but no parking. Also have to walk to the door from drop off point, take care if icy with suitcases as it’s about 200m away.

2 adults + 2 kids (6 & 9) - August 2025. Really nice room (biggest room) with two sleeping areas, a living area, kitchenette and street view. It really made for a comfortable and pleasant vacation. Conveniently located to all the main restaurants, shopping and harbor. Bus stop 1 is only a minute away, where you catch day tours. Wonderful staff (thanks Sergey & Gina!) and a nice breakfast in the bar area. I highly recommend and will stay there again.

This was my second time staying at Kvosin downtown hotel and it was exceptional both times. Customer service at the front desk was top notch. They were so gracious and helpful with everything from lending us a power adapter to giving us a heads up on street closures, to helping me figure out how to use the induction cooktop in our kitchen. The room (really like an apartment) was spacious and immaculate. It felt like we were living like locals for the week. We were in close proximity to great restaurants, but we also had fun cooking dinner in our kitchen. Breakfast downstairs in the morning was delicious and had a good variety including vegan options. Kvosin is close to everything — it’s in the perfect location for tourists, with a beautiful view of the lake, and wonderful daily cleaning service. Parking nearby was easy. I cannot say enough good things about this place! We will definitely be staying again.

Keep coming back

This hotel is in a perfect location and walkable to the main street and most of the City. The front desk staff is friendly. The rooms are cozy and clean. We've stayed here twice: once with our kids and once as a couple. We love that they have rooms with living areas, small kitchens, and second bedrooms. The second bedroom and bathroom was extremely small, but standard for Iceland i guess.

What a great stay. Check in was very easy with help from the friendly staff. We were upgraded, which was a nice surprise. Our room was clean and spacious with access to a terrace. The breakfast was good. This hotel is in a great location to walk to anything you may need. I would absolutely book another stay.
