"Portinvartija" -mökki on ensimmäinen uusi rakenteemme täällä Stonehavenissa. Pääkerroksen sisäpinta on täysin valmis ja kaunis! Olohuoneessa on luonnonkivitakka, täydellinen keittiö, täysi kylpyamme pääkerroksessa ja puoli kylpyamme parvella. Yksi on kyettävä kiivetä tikkaat portaita parvella. Vieraat ovat tervetulleita retkeilyreitille ja 40 hehtaarin kiinteistön ulkona.

Avaruus
Apple-kartat ovat tarkkoja päästäksesi Stonehaven Cottagesiin, mutta google maps on edelleen prosessissa osoitteen oikean sijoittamiseksi heidän järjestelmäänsä. Mökkimme on savuton. Jos tupakoit, olet tervetullut tupakoimaan ulkopuolella kuistilla, joka kiertyy koko mökin etuosassa tai muualla ulkona, missä savu ei vaikuta muihin. Minkä tahansa tyyppiset ilotulitteet ovat tiukasti kiellettyjä.

Järvi
Tuscobia-järvi on kaunis keväällä syötetty erämaajärvi. Kesäkuukausina suurin osa järvestä on hyvin rikkaita ja sopii parhaiten melontaan, soutuveneisiin ja kajakkeihin. Järven pohjoispää on kuitenkin 24 jalkaa syvä ja siinä on paljon vähemmän rikkaruohoja, ja vieraamme voivat tehdä noin kilometrin matkan ponttoniretkelle siihen päähän ja uida ponttonilta. Itse järvi on näkyvissä mökin edestä, mutta se on noin neljänneksen mailin kävelymatkan päässä laiturialueelta. On myös useita nuotioalueita, joista on näköala järvelle, jotta vieraamme voivat nauttia.

Vieras pääsy
Vierailla on koko päätaso ja makuuparvi itselleen ja he voivat myös käyttää mitä tahansa retkeilyreittejämme ja nuotioalueitamme koko 40 hehtaarin kiinteistössä. Meillä on myös ponttoni, meloa, kanootti ja soutuvene, jonka jokainen vieraamme voi vuokrata Tuscobia-järvellä. Kun uloskäynti kellarista on valmis kaukaisessa tulevaisuudessa, vieraat pääsevät myös kyseiselle alueelle, joka lisää uuden makuutilan ja toisen 3/4-kylpyhuoneen. Kellari on tyhjä, kun vieraat oleskelevat kanssamme.

Vuorovaikutus vieraiden kanssa
Omistajana elämme kiinteistöllä, joten jos tarvitset jotain, olemme vain puhelun päässä. Yksi meistä on saatavana lähes 100% ajasta.

Muita huomioitavia asioita
Säännöllinen hinnoittelu 150 dollaria per yö viikonloppuisin (perjantai ja lauantai) ja 125 dollaria. 00 per yö viikkoyönä (su. -Thurs.). Lauantai-iltaisin Rice Lake Speedwayn ääni kuuluu. Speedway on mailin päässä, ja melutaso vaihtelee tuulen suunnan mukaan.
Tämä mökki sijaitsee lähellä kohdetta Marshfield Medical Center-Rice Lake. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön muun muassa ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

Another Great Getaway

This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall.

Multigenerational Family Trip

Myself, my daughters and my grandchildren all enjoyed our stay at Stonehaven's, Gatekeeper Cottage for our annual trip. We enjoyed everything about the property. The cabin itself and the property were very special. We enjoyed our pontoon ride during which we saw several eagles flying overhead and even diving for a fish, there were multiple herons and a loon who stayed nearby diving and popping up. We highly recommend this rental getaway.

We stayed two nights on an atv trip. Cabin is really unique especially for kiddos. they loved the loft and spiral staircase. We made good use of the walking trails on the property and the fire pit out back. Kitchen was well stocked and whole place was warm and cozy. Hit some peak fall color and got some great pics down by the lake. We will be returning! Cabin right on the atv trail!

This place is great! We loved it!

The Gatekeepers Cottage was fabulous! It was even better then what the pictures showed. Such a great use of all the space and beautifully decorated. The owners checked in on us shortly after arrival to see if there was anything we needed and to point out the different activities available to us. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and hanging out on the front porch. We would definitely stay here again - possibly in the winter after learning that the snowmobile trails are just across the road.

Amazing girls weekend!

Girls weekend at the cottage was amazing! Ted and Lori were so helpful and kind. And the cottage was beautiful, we slept comfortably for the 6 of us. They have everything you need and more, with instructions for whatever you could think to ask about. We went out on the lake and it was very peaceful, beautiful weekend for weather wise. Loved that there were bathrooms and bedrooms on every floor. Decor was amazing, and kitchen was stocked well. Overall an amazing property! Would book again 😁

Beautiful cottage

Cottage was beautiful and clean. The upstairs bedroom is not ideal due to the ladder and the room gets very warm even with a/c set at a comfortable level. I will say the owners have everything you need there for you. If enjoying the lake is what you desire then this may not be the place for you as the algae on the lake was thick as carpet. Cottage is very quaint with all the refurbished antiques. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Pretty location, nice home.

We enjoyed our stay - the property is very unique and the owners were kind and helpful. Everything was clean, instructions were provided where needed and were very clear, and the house was well-equipped. The only negative is that it is difficult to get to either level where the beds are. The ladder staircase is a little scary, and the spiral staircase is very tight and tricky to manuever if you are carrying anything (like a suitcase). But I would stay there again if I was in the area!

Great Stay!

There were 8 of us adults that stayed at the cottage for a girls weekend. Our stay was fantastic and relaxing. With two levels and the loft, we were easily able to accommodate everyone for comfortable sleeping arrangements and had plenty of room. The host Lori quickly answered any questions that we had. Would highly recommend staying at Stonehaven!

Enchanting cottage

We had a fabulous girls weekend. The cottage was outstanding. The description of the cottage was spot on but there were so many special touches. The living spaces, bedrooms were so beautifully decorated, so comfortable. Absolutely loved the bathrooms, quaint and unique decorations, water pressure was lovely. The pulley for luggage was amazing, unfortunately we found out after dragging the luggage up that this was available. Someone was extremely clever when setting this cottage up, it was amazing, we will certainly be back.

What a great place! Five stars!

This cottage was perfect for our group of eight! Price was reasonable and access to local area (nature and in-town) was so close! Of all the rentals I have stayed in, this place was was the best equipped, most home-like, and the most relaxing. The hosts were incredibly helpful with any questions and proactive with things to do and know about the cottage. We’ll be back for sure!
