Property was unique and charming. Staff was accommodating. Food was good. Pool was heated and lovely. Staff went above and beyond to make stay it’s best. Only concerning issue is property is very large and challenging physically due to layout. If over 60 make sure you ask for best room location.

The hotel is gorgeous and in a great location. The staff was legitimately nice! From pick up in shuttle by Jeff, with a tour and great recommendations. Heidi and Janie at front desk were helpful. Great energy and assistance by Sandra in housekeeping. And can’t say enough about Elvin, who went out of his way for us! Thank you!

We stayed here the last night of our week long vacation up in North County. Close to the airport for an early morning flight and a great location to enjoy Old Town’s offerings. Perfect ending to a wonderful family trip. Will repeat next year!

My family and I stayed for 2 nights. We were a party of 5, 3 children and 2 adults. We got a room with 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was a twin size which we thought would be a full. The mattress on the sofa bed was horrible. All you could feel were the springs digging into to you. Also the toilet in the bathroom would move around. The staff was friendly although it was pretty annoying that we requested housekeeping for our room and when we got back to our room around 10pm after being gone all day we saw that housekeeping never went to our room and we had to call the front desk to request clean towels, bags so we could take out the trash. Overall the rooms need to be upgraded/remodeled. Pros: are that it’s in the heart of Old Town San Diego and you have access to all the restaurants and shops in walking distance. With that said I don’t think we would be staying here in the future.

Staying at Old town

After a 5 hour drive the bed seemed so comfortable. The room was clean. The locations was very ideal. Shops and restaurants were close by. Staying here made the trip so much nicer and had an amazing experience.

Overpriced, dirty, rude service

Upon check in I was treated with much disrespect by front desk. Sadly, I have been coming to this hotel since I was a child with my family and never have been treated so rudely. I was told that my room would need to be “inspected” prior to check out in case there was any partying, smoking or drug use. I have never been so humiliated by a hotel in my life. When arriving to my room there were blood stains on the comforter and immediately given a new room next door. I was also over charged and given a refund at check out. Extremely costly, rude service, mold bathrooms, disappointing. Will be trying a different Old Town hotel next time.
