I got to my assigned room and the door to the room was already wide open and the room was dark…umm, CREEPY!!! I didn’t go any further. Stayed in the hallway and called the front desk. They assigned me another room on another floor ( I actually used the room key to open it). The rooms need to be updated. Lobby is nice. Loved the robot (Batman).

Not Sure it’s Worth the Money

It was pretty noisy so we didn’t get super restful nights of sleep. Not only was our ac unit loud, but we could hear every other unit around us as well, all going off at different times. When the freshened up our room the first time they didn’t replenish the toilet paper or Kleenex. Water pressure in the shower was awful. Pool area was a bit outdated as well. Staff was very kind and the room itself was nice enough. Just expected a bit more out of a Hilton. Also found it odd that we had to go to the hotel next door to get a breakfast that we had to pay for. Had I known that, we probably would have just opted to go eat out at local places. Kind of defeats the convenience we were looking for with that.

Overall, the trip was great. The only issue is noise control. The noise from our upstairs neighbor made it difficult to sleep in the mornings, from footsteps and loud thuds to noise from water pipes when flushing the toilet and showering.

Weekend in Del Mar

The hotel is a bit tired. It could use a refresher. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had an issue with the thermostat but after a few hours it got resolved. The staff is very friendly and very helpful especially Ms. Linda she was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us.
