The room was clean and very cute. No mini fridge but it had the other basic amenities. The breakfast is just a few pastries, not a full breakfast. The hallways did have an old hotel smell to them and i couldnt smell it but my mom and brother said the room smelled funky too...personally i liked the room but the street next to the hotel did seem a bit sketchy and we could hear the traffic from the street too when we were trying to sleep.

Hidden Gem!

We booked two rooms for Friday/Saturday night to attend the Giant game and were pleasantly surprised at the quality, as the price was quite reasonable. The rooms were as nice as the pictures. The value was there. You could hear some noise from the other rooms, but it wasn't bad at all. There was a lovely little outdoor patio and across the street the rooftop pool was truly heated - our grandson played for quite awhile, I was in it for over an hour! The continental breakfast had a nice selection of pastries and egg bites, as well as fruit and good coffee. You are downtown - be aware of where you walk - 6th street is sketchy, but we had a beautiful evening walk through the Civic Center and enjoyed the lit buildings. Great Pizza at Square Pie around the corner and we had breakfast down the street at Rocco's. The underground parking is worth its weight in gold! Final note - the front desk gentleman who checked us in was a gem, telling us the whole story of the writer themed rooms. So fun!

Cute, Safe and Friendly Hotel

Really liked the hotel, it was clean and comfortable and cutely styled with fun artwork and wallpaper. The room faced a side street with a big tree in front of the window so it was always kind of dark in the room but it didn't bother me, I liked that it was quiet and away from the main road. Coffee machine in the room, and cotton bath robes in the closet which were great to use after showering. No mini fridge but they offered to bring me one when I asked. The laminate flooring looked new and was nice to have vs carpet. The parking garage seems secure if you drive there, and the front desk always has someone attending it. I felt safe at the hotel and walked to the design district in about 15 minutes with no issues. Sightglass coffee is also within walking distance, and so is Civic Center bart station, about 10 minutes. Will definitely stay again, especially because it's pet friendly!

Good spot for a Budget conscious traveller!

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the center and the price. It was comfortable and clean. The breakfast bar offered pastries, banana bread and fruit which I took to my room. It’s a simple affordable hotel providing basic amenities for a traveller on a budget! It also provided guests access to the swimming pool of its partner hotel across the street.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fiona. We had a family room and my wife, 2 children - 13 and 10 had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Use of the pool was great. The room was good and cleaned well every day. The location was good for getting around. Downsides were that the room was dark with no main light in the middle of the room and a huge tree stopping any outside light getting in through the window. The shower was difficult to get working. The location was next to a road where there was a lot of vagrancy. Despite this we would definitely stay there again.
