Incredible staff property. The area is a bit sketch after hours but waymo uber is easily accessible. There are restaurants markets in the near vicinity to accommodate for lack of in room amenities but overall a great place to stay. The hotel is near several bus stops so definitely accesible through the city.

I highly recommend this property. Great value for the money. Just a heads up......be prepared to pay between $40 and $60 per 24 hrs for parking as the hotel does not have parking available. The available parking offered is very close by and very secure 24/7.

unsettling

The hotel itself was fine. Location and comfort were good. I had an uncomfortable interaction with the security guard on the night I stayed however. I arrived at midnight back to the hotel and he followed me up to my floor in the elevator and asked questions about me being alone. It was very unsettling especially when I we were both in the elevator, he did not select a floor but waited for me to press the number for my floor and simply followed me down the hall. I did not have a peaceful rest after that as the door to rooms do not have a dead bolt or chain.

Conservatory visit

Great boutique hotel. Recently remodeled. Very clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is excellent in cafe/bar. Conveniently located to many places we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip!

My son and I had a great time at Hotel Julian. The staff, especially at the reception, was so kind and helpful. Our room was lovely and big - my only suggestion would be to have a thicker duvet on the bed because at night was quite cold (we don't like sleeping with heating on). Thank you so much for having us!!! Lou and I will be back.

This was a really great property. The staff were very nice and friendly and accommodating. The beds were soft and the pillows were soft. It’s worth paying the extra money to stay here. Trust me very convenient and near everything.

Had a great weekend stay! The hotel was clean, quiet with a nice lobby. Staff checked us in quickly and were helpful with any of our needs. Area around hotel is good compared to other areas. There was always security outside or inside the lobby which made it feel safer. There is a close market and cafe for any quick snacks or drinks. Overall had a great experience.

Won’t stay here again

Stayed up late and was trying to sleep in but the maid service had their walkie talkies blasting up and down the hallway. Then, the front desk called to remind of us checkout which was unnecessary. Just call at 11! The lady on Saturday morning was really rude leaving and I couldn’t really understand her since her English was so poor. It’s sad when employees ruin an experience I doubt the owners would have of approved of her behavior.
