This is a cool old property, but with modernized rooms.The front desk is very helpful and courteous with great level of service. Super comfortable beds and great shower. It's located in the heart of downtown Atascadero and is within walking distance to fantastic restaurants. Make sure you try the Back Porch Bakery, which is attached to the hotel. Excellent!

The hotel is centrally located, both in Atascadero and if you have plans to travel around Northen San Luis Obispo county. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a genuine smile and they were quick to address any questions we of had. The room was a little outdated, but very clean, and I know they're in the process of renovating. There is free parking and plenty of places to eat or have drinks at within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying here in the future.

This beautiful hotel is located so close to everything you need. The inside has been beautifully renovated and the best part about an older building like this, it is sooooo quiet. Definitely no thin walls or floors here. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The best part is it is pet-friendly. I will stay here again!

I love the old buildings so this place was great, but the absolute highlight of my stay was meeting Peyton. What a beautiful human being. The hotel is lucky to have him working there. Definitely get a morning bun and or an almond croissant at the bakery.

I was so excited to stay at this iconic hotel. I have wanted to stay here for years. Thankfully, they are renovating it at this time because it really needs it. The price was very fair for the accommodations, but the room was very tired and really needed a facelift. Whoever does their housekeeping should be fired. They could not even properly make a bed if their life depended on it. Hopefully when the renovation is done, it will be brought back to its glory, and they will have a new housekeeping staff. Everyone at the front desk was absolutely amazing.
