The proximity to the Pier and everything else, dining, souvenir shops, coffee or desserts is the best! The rooms are average but the staff provided a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Overall, I'd recommend Edgewater.

Love the suite with a full kitchen so I could do some minor cooking for a very picky eater. The room was so spacious. Love the location and how easy it is to get to the beach, shopping and many restaurants.

The ONLY reason I’d recommend this property to a friend is its proximity to the beach and pier for that price point. Other than that, it’s a terrible place to stay. The property is not kept up and the rooms are dim and dirty. (Third floor balcony/walkway is tilting/areas where outside stucco wall is open and pipes exposed/rusty railings) The staff do not seem to care about guests and act annoyed if you ask for say, additional towels. They made it very clear that they don’t go in to the rooms for a daily refresh. Only upon request and only if they had time to. The room wasn’t very clean to begin with, either (dirty floors). The adjoining room door had a 1 inch gap so you could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the neighbor’s room. On the first night, we were fortunate enough to have a couple with small children crying until 1am. The father thought yelling at the children crying was a good way to calm them down. Honestly, I’ve never stayed at a place where it felt like a curtain was between the two adjoining rooms. I rarely submit reviews, but it was the worst experience I’ve had at a property in years.

We arrived at check in time and our room was not ready. The staff made no apologies and would not give us any estimate of when our room would be ready. We waited in the parking lot and checked back periodically over the next two hours and the staff was rude and would still give us no estimate of when a room would be ready. The only info they offered was that their cleaning staff had 16 rooms to clean. At one point we saw the two cleaning staff outside hanging out on their phones. After waiting almost two hours and still unable to get any estimate of when our room would be ready, we finally left and found a room elsewhere. Unbelievable. We’ve never experienced this before.
