A good, but not great experience.
The general area around the hotel is nice, and the hotel itself looks nice overall. There were a few things I did not like, however, including: The overly obtrusive window shutters in front of the sliding door block out half of your view, access to the beach is not very convenient, too many text messages from the hotel primarily geared towards up-selling which is annoying, and lastly the breakfast is just mediocre (very much reminded me of a typical 2-3 star chain hotel).
All things considered, it was a nice enough stay, but for $500-700/night, definitely not worth it. I've stayed at nicer beachside hotels along the California coast for less. That said, most of my complaints could, in theory, be easily resolved.
