Lovely renovated hotel in a great location. Although the address is on State Street, this is now pedestrianized. If arriving by car you need Gota Street to access hotel car park. There is no restaurant only a small bar, but plenty of eating options. The downside is a small single lift and dark (caramel?) paint on the room walls and ceiling which made the room look smaller than it was. Overall for a 3 star property I was impressed and would happily return.

Beautiful hotel, tastefully restored celebrating 100 years soon. Staff were wonderful. Hotel is in prime location for shops, restaurants & beach.

Location, Location, Location!

What a primo location! The hotel is located on State Street in the heart of the downtown. We walked all around the area, visiting shops, live music, dining, and cocktail locations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The entry is under construction and our toilet ran all night, though the staff did try to repair it. We would definitely stay here again.

Newly refurbished rooms, halls and lobby remodel in progress. Good location on State and walking distance to most restaurants, shops and venues. Staff was fantastic, they even charged my electric car during valet! Super reasonable right now while it's being remodeled.

I was in town for a wedding and this hotel was perfect for my first time in Santa Barbara. The renovations are beautiful and the staff could not have been better. Fantastic location - I was able to walk to all 3 wedding events and down to the pier one morning. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Nice room with bathtub , although view of parking lot and noisy maintenance on lobby were surprises. Staff was helpful and friendly. New decor gorgeous. Especially appreciated the convenient water bottle filling stations.

The re-model is very nice. Rooms are a little dark but that is the vibe. Bed was comfortable. State St side was a bit noisy but we were warned! Loved the bath products and the kettle/coffee set up were a nice touch. Front desk staff was very helpful.
