We stayed at the Ritz last November and here this past week and I’d choose the Santa Barbara Inn hands down. It’s boutique-like with lovely grounds, super walkable, clean and the dining option is lovely. Valet was great and service very good.

Hotel was an excellent choice. The only hotel I could find that had ocean view rooms!...it did not disappoint. Bath robes and slippers provided! Heated bathroom floor! Great shower with soft water! Convivo restaurant was amazing...everything we ate was fantastic. Only negative was that the table lamps beside the bed didn't work properly. Otherwise everything was fantastic...no regrets!

Nice location, beautiful building, the decor could be better - just outdated, had some nice art pieces, the main problem was the smell in the room, I don't now if it was just our room (213) or all rooms smell like that, it was just so strong - smelled like the sweaty locker-room, was it the carpet? Had to sleep with the window open.
