Central Valley Realness

Everyone was really friendly. Love the $12 coupon for food at their lovely lounge. Bartenders were great( there are tables also) and homemade sausage was delicious. Love the rooms. The bed super comfortable and soft sheets. The photos of historical photos on the wall make you sense the region and the history and know you aren’t in LA yet r SF which is the best part! Ha

Great Motel

Sideways Inn is a great motel. Their Lounge is fun (though I'd pass on the sausage dinner). Convenient to Ellen's Pancake House too.

This property was ideal for a quick two night stay. The room was clean and outfitted appropriately . The area has nice areas for sitting, a pool and a nice lounge and food trailer on-site. Two observation are no breakfast capability and minimal dinner options other than sausage and appetizers. I would stay here again if I did not need or want to spend time in Solvang..

A dirty, poorly maintained and inflexible room

Room condition & cleanliness: • Paint chipped off the door frame. • Multiple stains on the carpet. • Bathroom floor had visible dirt and marks. • Sofa covered with greasy and dirty patches. Facilities & comfort: • No telephone in the room — we couldn’t report the barking dog next door. • Shower room has no door at all, waters are easily spread out. • Bathroom door no lock - zero privacy. • TV does not support external devices (e.g. Nintendo Switch). • Charging port hidden behind bedside table, very difficult to reach. Service: • Completely inflexible on late checkout. When we asked for just 30 minutes, the front desk rejected immediately without even checking availability.

The bed was comfortable. Location. Easy to get to Downtown Solvang. I’m a movie person, parts of the film sideways was filmed there. Nice pool. Jacuzzi was very small. It was open to 10pm which was very nice.

Excellent location, right next to the freeway and near to many places to eat. The room was well kept but needed some TLC. Super dog friendly, with a nice pool, jacuzzi and fire pits. Staff was great, and the coffee and donuts in the morning were a nice way to start our day. Would stay here again.

Don't get the premium rooms. They are near the popular bar (separate business) that is onsite. My room was directly over it so I had drunks yelling outside my window until 1am.
