Our stay at the inn was lovely! We stayed overnight to attend a PCPA play, and the hotel was walking distance to Theaterfest. The room was very comfortable, a full breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property is very cozy and adorable; however, for my stay and having worked in the Hospitality for years myself, resorts not Hotels but same as far as I'm concerned when it comes to customer service, I did not have a good experience with the front desk. Now, the first day there was a very nice lady actually, she told me about the property and what they offer, but the other two ladies I had to deal with were not friendly nor nice at all. When it was time to leave, one of these girls asked both people before me if they enjoyed their stay, when I went to check out, they didn't ask me anything and simply said "Have a nice rest of the day". It's too bad because it was my first time at this hotel and it was quite nice except for some people on the second floor that for some reason did not wish to sleep EVER and made a lot of noise. The front desk means a lot in any property as it is the first place a customer deal with and it should be a nice and pleasant experience. Too much to write down what happened through out with the front desk, but not pleasant.

Check in unprofessional and the fact that I asked for 2pm instead of 3 but was actually ready at 2pm and was not given to me when my room was clearly ready and the front desk saw us waiting for it in their reception seating was totally uncalled for. Again no correct I should say greeting and no class. Front desk is the first impression of the whole place you get, that's where it starts, and it can totally spoil it. I worked in Hotels/Resorts for 8yrs, could not have gotten away with the way customer service is nowadays. I guess that's why it bothers me way more than others.

Very nice stay. Be prepared it’s a dog friendly hotel/inn and they are everywhere! The outside trash could use more monitoring as they were frequently full with trash around the bin. First impression, front appearance could use more attention although the roses were in bloom and were beautiful. The daily full breakfast was just ok. Could use some kind of potatoes.

Charming, and great location!

The Wine Valley Inn is a charming hotel in a great location in Solvang. Their parking lots fill up fast, but you are walking distance to everything in town, so its not a big deal. Its located right around the corner from Whiskey and Rye BBQ. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. My wife and i hade a great weekend there.

Noisy sleep

This hotel has a great location for walking around in Solvang to restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shopping. They have breakfast available but we were distrust they no longer served the great danish pastries that they have always had at our previous stays. We also were abruptly awakened several times in the night by a loud, unidentifiable noise coming from the wall directly behind our bed! This noise woke us several times from a sound sleep and stay on 15 or more minutes then suddenly stopped. We had no Ideal what it was but we knew it was not coming from the room above us! We mentioned it at check out but then had no idea what it could have been! We were there for two nights and thankfully it only happened on the last night!
