Don’t go to this hotel

Really poor conditions in general. The worst was the a ugly smell around. No block out court sins in our room. Furniture was in bad conditions. No parking at the property. Carpets were so dirty and old. Again the smell was the worst. Stay away from this hotel

Cute. Quiet. Perfectly located.

Excellent location. Cute lobby. Spacious rooms. Would definitely stay again! I found this gem to host a girls spa trip for my best friend and I. We were so happy to arrive to our hotel, where there was parking right in the front and the front desk attendant was ready to check us in as swiftly as we arrived. We got into our room at the Carriage house and fell in love with our little patio and room. It’s also important to note this hotel is located a quick walk from a bar and an even closer walk to a cafe. Whether you need a drink after dinner or a coffee in the morning, you are a hop, skip, and jump away! We had an amazing stay and would definitely come again.

We've been coming here for over 25 years once/twice a year. The rooms are really starting to get tired and old; not "antiquey", but tired. Mini-blinds in #46 are falling apart and don't work, and there is a very bright light that shines into that window and our room all night...brutal. Furniture is just stretched to it's usable limit at this point. Four poster bed and all four of the posters are just barely hanging on. No lighting at the two occasional chairs and table, so other than bed, there's nowhere to read a magazine or book. Now they charge $15/night to park in the A'Roma parking lot that has been free for hotel guests since day one. No breakfast anymore, and more importantly, no breakfast program with the adjoining restaurant, Grossman's, that actually has an entrance from the hotel lobby. You can't put together a deal with them for a cheap breakfast for guests? We went to A'Roma both mornings, so who benefits from that? This might be the end of our long-standing history with Hotel LaRose, and we're going to look at other options. Sad, but the place is really getting run-down.

The hotel is nice and located conveniently near dining and shopping; Our first room was a King but we couldn't use the tub and after asking the staff were moved to a different room with two queens, being told that nothing else was available. I also did not get a later check out than 12, after we spent and hour figuring it all out. I read the reviews and came to the conclusion that it totally depends what staff you get on how you are treated here; thats why the reviews vary. In the morning we had a different staff, Ashley, who was amazing! I told her the story and she told me she would have upgraded us; gave me a gift card for the restaurant next door and extended our check out time after talking to the manager. Those are the things that make me come back to a property. Lived the bed, the proximity and the history of the hotel; room can be hot, especially on higher floors. The addition of a fridge in the room would be nice! People complain about things being dated and the carpet, but this is a historic hotel, so just be aware! If you don't like that style, don't choose it.
