Our lovey hostess, Vicki, and her staff were absolutely wonderful. She picked us up at the visitor center, took us anywhere we needed to go, and was kind and friendly. The Eagle Bay Inn is not fancy, nor in a beautiful part of town, but Sitka is a must -see, and VickI was a terrific ambassador.

Booked this place to catch the ship we missed in Seattle. Great service for a last minute booking. They picked us up at the airport midnight. We had a continental breakfast there in the morning. And they drove us to our ship.

When you arrive you wonder where the room could be. Don't worry, they're there. Wonderful place...kind of a hidden gem in Sitka. I recommend it. I asked some strange stuff of the staff: "Can you take me to the airport at 4AM?" ...sure, no sweat... "Do you have some rags to wipe the mud off my rental car?" ...here you go... "Can I use the hose behind the building?" ...sure, no problem... And, on top of all that, they keep a fully stocked snack area complete with take away breakfast food.

The property had recently been refurbished. The rooms were clean and provided good facilities re communication and use of electronic devices. On tap tea, coffee and cold drinks in reception. Also bagels, muffins, porridge and fruit for breakfast. A bit out of town but the property will provide airport transfer. The Totem national park is across the road. It is a 15 min walk into town. The building is not very attractive

The staff is wonderful. Ms Vikki has a wealth of knowledge regarding the areas and its history, and very accommodating in terms of getting you to destinations within Sitka.

The staff at Eagle Bay Inn went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They drove us anywhere we needed to go and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Miss Vickie was so sweet and told us a lot about the history of Sitka. Highly recommend staying here. .

Clean and comfy

The hotel is convenient to everything but also not in the middle of everything. Which we liked. It was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. I would reccomend splurging on the ocean view rooms. Owners/managers were very kind and quick to respond. My only advice to travelers: if you have heavy luggage, be aware there is no elevator. But, overall it was lovely and I would stay again.
