Great one night stop over to visit Zion

We only spent one night so difficult to give an in depth review. Certainly check in was fine and we slept very soundly. Very good parking facilities in an enclosed car park. A very tasty Indian restaurant on site and they provided boxes to ary unfinished meals if necessary. The hotel serves a simple but adequate breakfast serving from 6am. For us it was very well placed for visiting Zion Canyon. Would certainly consider booking again.

The staff was friendly and helpful when I wanted to change rooms, and the Indian restaurant on premises is fantastic! This isn’t the most modern/updated motel by any means, so don’t expect anything more than a slightly rundown motel. Being next to Zion NP it’s, of course, overpriced, but a fine place to get a good night’s sleep with breakfast included. The El Rancho Mexican restaurant just up the street is also superb, with very simple but very well done plates.

Area around property is quaint and nice. Hotel itself is dingy, filthy, and unsanitary. Management didn't seem all that bothered by my complaints regarding the urine stained toilet and the dirty carpet I walked into in my first room.

I booked few nights here and quickly regretted it. The property looked better from the pictures but this place is old and run down. It was shocking going to our room where the parking lot was dirty as well as the hall leading to the room. Once in the room we knew we could not stay here. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed. it had pet hair and crumbly stuff here and there. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower had stains or just wasn't clean, floor dirty. There were two beds. Upon inspection sheets were thin and had stains of blood or something on one of them. Decor old, scuffed and depressing. Nope we couldn't do it so left. Over on Expedia there were 10 star ratings which were deceiving. I should have checked Trip Advisor and Google. If I had done that I would have seen the true reviews which were mostly negative.

The area of La Verkin is conveniently located between the entrance to Zion National Park and the Kolbob hiking area. There was a market, a Dollar General, gas stations, and a variety of eating areas nearby. The Ramada is an economical choice if you're looking to save money, but the hotel is in desperate need of some love and care. I imagine the price will increase if it does receive these updates. Some simple changes, like using better cleaners for the restroom, and replacing old rusty coffee trays are quick changes the hotel should consider. The mattress was sinking on one side, so we did not have the best night sleep. But we were mostly hiking the trails on our trip, so we spent most of our time outside of our room. The service and staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was substantial (muffins, yogurt, toast, bagels, coffee). If you want to save some money, this is a good option.

The staff was fine but our room and the property was dirty. Our room had not been dusted or vacuumed in a long time. The bathroom shower looked like it had grime from 20 years, plus hair from the previous guest on the walls. It looked like they tried to make upgrades but took way too many short cuts. The overall smell of the hotel was odd and not off putting.

The property did not look anything like the online pictures. The place is falling apart everywhere. The shape of the building being in such disrepair made us feel unsafe and was not going to stay there. The fire escape was even falling off the building. They should be removed from Expedia for false advertisement. When you read the reviews you can tell they are made up by staff or by their friends. I would rate it a zero if I could. The staff even went so far as to act shocked that we didn't want to stay there.

The property is in ok condition, nothing fancy, little dirty by the entrance doors and not so many outlets. But has everything you need to get some rest before the next hike. Ricky, the guy at the front desk/manager (if he's not, he should be) providing excellent customer service and taking care of any issues you point at. Very polite and friendly. That compensate the lucking of other things at the place. The food is OK, considering that it is included into the price. Being able to make great waffles with gem and coffee is good enough.

Where to start. The room we were put in was a nightmare. The door to the room had an electronic lock with an ill-fitting exposed battery pack, and the peephole was stuffed with tissue. Also the lock didn't immediately lock, so I had to close the door several times for the electronic mechanism to kick in. Plus, the phone connection didn't work. The toilet was not even properly attached to the floor, and would shift every time we sat on it. If I was a large person, it may have broke off the floor entirely. And the air conditioner was loud and annoying, probably a severely outdated model. When I first noticed some of these issues, I complained and asked to be moved to another room, away from that location in the corner of the complex. The staff said nothing was available. But when I had to go back to the front desk to report more issues I found later, he was busy checking in another couple into a similar style room, in a better location. He could've switched us to that room before they showed up when I requested it earlier! Upon checking out I pointed out a couple more of the problems with the room, but the receptionist did not seem to have any remorse and made no apologies. I am actually shocked that Ramada allows this property to be run like this. I really should get some kind of refund for this type of quality. Not worth what I paid. Bottom line, the room I got was not fit for travelers to stay in. Unless Ramada makes this right for me, I won't be using their hotels again.

Gentlemen at the front counter check in was super helpful. What ruin the trip as we were packing up, and my sock rolled under the bed. Where I unfortunately found a half eaten burger there. Definitely ended my trip on a ick note.
