Calling all Sun worshipers! Welcome to Sun Goddess, a 3BR/3BA beach bungalow located in the heart of St. George Island.
Our beachfront beauty can accommodate up to 8 guests, and since our four-legged friends are a part of the family (and because it would be a shame not to bring them to one of the pet-friendliest beaches in the U.S.) we allow up to 2 dogs 50lbs or less with advance approval for a $150 + tax pet fee.
SUN GODDESS is only a short stroll to the Cape St. George Light and Museum where you can climb to the top of the historic lighthouse for a bird’s eye view of the Island center. Within easy walking distance of our home are local restaurants and shops or you may prefer to rent a bicycle to explore the Island along 17 miles of paved bike paths. And then, of course, there’s the house!
The first level of Sun Goddess has 2 bedrooms, the first of which is a Queen bedroom w/ flat screen TV and private bathroom w/ shower. Down the hall is a laundry closet with stacked washer/dryer and the beachfront Master suite. The spacious Master suite boasts a King size bed with new mattress and bedding, a flat screen TV, deck access and a private bathroom equipped w/ a jetted tub. The best feature of this suite is the beach! A private entrance takes you onto a beachfront covered deck where you can access the top level or travel downstairs to the beach boardwalk. Plenty of extended covered deck space allows you a cool respite from a long beach day and a great place to revel in blue waters and Gulf breezes.
Upstairs and on the middle level of the home is the open living space, as well as the best views in the house. A full bathroom w/ shower is located just off of the stairwell and is convenient to the household.
The comfortably appointed living space creates the perfect framework for the unparalleled views of sparkling Gulf waters and white sand beaches that are just outside your front door. The comfortably furnished living room offers a brand new sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations and a large, flat screen TV w/ DVD player for movie night with the family. Our favorite spot to relax is the beachfront deck, with both a covered area for relaxing in the shade and an extended deck to enjoy the warmth of the Florida sun… beach views for miles! Both our upper and lower beachfront decks have a gated stairwell for the safety of pets and small children.
The dining table seats up to 6 with additional seating for 4 at the dining bar. With plenty of counter space, meal prep is easy and convenient in the well-stocked kitchen. A West facing window allows for the unobstructed view of the Lighthouse and Lighthouse Park, just a short stroll from the property.
Just past the kitchen is the stairwell to the loft bedroom with 2 twin beds and a flat screen TV. This room overlooks the main living space and also enjoys a street side view of the center of St. George Island, where you can watch the momentum of summer activities or the occasional winter traveler, depending on the time of year of your visit.
Outdoors, you can enjoy easy beach access when hauling coolers or other beach gear via our wooded walkway that extends from the brick paved driveway to the beach boardwalk.
