Enjoyed our room

Love the 2 bedroom reservation: one bedroom with a king bed as well as a bathroom with the 2nd bedroom with 2 double beds as well with a bathroom. Love the couch, TV area as well as a kitchen. With my daughter having celiac, we must carry food safe for her to eat. The full sized fridge was great to hold what we brought. Best bonus: a freeze large enough to keep our freezer packs frozen for use on the way home if needed. Beds are soft. Pillows for us, were a bit too firm.

Staff was not very knowledgeable - requested a one bedroom suite with queen bed - that’s what they said we were getting but when we went to the room, it was a lousy double sofa that was sagging bad. Dishwasher was not working and the dishes from the previous guest were still sitting in the dish washer. Parking said $15 on Expedia, but got charged $30.

For the kind of money I spent on this stay, there should have been room service! Couldn't get fresh towels without having to go to the front desk, trash and towels piled up for our 3 day stay. The pool was over chlorinated. My granddaughters eyes burned for hours after getting out and settling in for the night. Also the tub leaked when my daughter wanted to take a shower! I guess it was the head maintenance man, (Dan) who told me that the rooms were outdated and the tub's gasket that allows overflow to the drain was old and needed to be replaced and they hadn't gotten to this room (410) yet. The room smelled, possibly from previous overflowing. There were no other options when we got there so we were stuck with the room. I am highly disappointed. The only good thing about it is the location and breakfast. Close to the Zoo and Arch. Overall I've seen better Super 8's.

Room was great, only issue was whoever was upstairs kept clunking non stop like they were fixing something. It stopped after i let front desk know. They have sucks everywhere saying the hotel is smoke free but someone on our floor didn't get the memo. It reeked of cigarette. My kid was gagging. Ovrrall had a great stay. Great location. 7min uber to chaifetz arena

I enjoyed the location and the staff were very friendly and respectful. I didn’t enjoy the smell of the rooms and the hallway. The halls smell like marijuana and dog piss/poop. At night it was unsafe because of the unsheltered that lived in the hotel. I expressed my concerns to the manager for a refund. My room when I arrived was dirty and the bed linen was also dirty.

I stayed here for a month. My third day I told them that the AC unit was leaking and that my rooms floor was soaking wet. They proceeded to do nothing for the entire month, no matter how many times I told them about it. The front desk was extremely rude to me about everything and constantly brought up the fact that I booked through hotels.com and several people said “ well it may be cheaper. The quality of your service will not be as good”. All the staff was very rude and dismissive.

Our room was a bit beat up in ways. Main door didn't close easily or quietly. Freezer smelled like pickles. There was a spoon in the disposer. Suite bedroom window had a huge taped up crack. Bedroom TV color was bad. Main room TV remote didn't work on it and the only thing you could do on that TV was plug in your own HDMI cable. Closet doors were hard to open as if they were not on the rails. Bathroom door didn't close easily.

Unfortunately, this hotel is not in the best location and is not walkable at all. However it is convenient to SLU and surrounding areas. The property itself is a little run down and I've elevator was down while we were there. Me thankfully, we were on the third floor and could take the stairs. Paying for parking is ridiculous given that we paid for the room and it should be included. I wouldn't start here again knowing that, but it's a decent place to stay right off the highway

Needs Maintenance

Some of the room features were definitely neglected. Tons of dirt build up on vents, garbage in hallway for 24 hours. Baseboard was separated from wall and mold was on wall behind it, damp carpet under the window, peeling paint on the bathroom door.

Ok stay

The room was very clean. However, the furniture was very old and outdated. The pool was old but warm and water clear and clean. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. The one bedroom suites only have queen size beds and not king. We preferred a king and thought the suites had a king size bed. That was very disappointing.

The staff at the hotel is excellent. Breakfast was also good. The facilities are old and in need of an upgrade. Our in suite coffee maker had mold growing in it and the shower leaked into the adjoining room when the shower was used.
