Island Grand at TradeWinds offers 381 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature a safe and coffee/tea makers. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses. Elevator was broken, washer dryer broken, safe in room broken. Computer system was down when we tried to check out. Manager unavailable to speak with. Nickel and dimed for every little thing. Lull driver on beach driving while looking at phone constantly, almost ran over a little girl. Overall it was a nightmare. Stay somewhere else, anywhere else. Don’t believe the photos on the website, you’ll be very disappointed!

The kids camp staff were incredible!!! Drink lines took forever at the bar near the beach and the $15 Pina Coladas tasted like soap. We mentioned it the next day and were told there was nothing that they could do but whoever cleaned it last probably didn’t get all the dish soap out……

Planning on calling management tomorrow. Not a great experience. No hand soap in the room. Room was dirty. No face cloths. Conditioner bottle in the shower was broken and empty. How the housekeeping passed this rio off to us is very concerning.

We stayed at RumFish last summer and loved it so we decided to try Island Grand next door for this visit. It was a nice option for our children’s spring break. The beach pool was entertaining every day. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. My girls loved having their hair braided, getting henna tattoos, and making shark tooth necklaces by the pool.

I have been going to The Tradewinds for over 30 years...a great place to stay...great beach...nice facilities...a bit over priced...I don't use the resort facilities and hate paying $25 a night for parking...

The television did not work. The staff only puts a first flat sheet on the mattress and does not even tuck it in, the bathrooms were disgusting. Resort now uses umbrellas instead of the covered lounge chairs and when the wind blows the umbrellas go flying around until they remove them. At night kids are allowed to run, scream, knock on your door and there is no pretense of any staffing that would prevent the kids from making noise at 1am. Family has been coming here for many years We love the beach location and used to love the resort now we will look elsewhere to stay as the clients your allowing to stay need professional management.
