I know it’s Nevada, but our room smelled like smoke, the air conditioning didn’t work well and the website said the rooms were new but the hotel feels old and there are still remodeling which said it was completed in spring. We also paid for parking and an early check in which was like, we’re staying at a casino, you would think that stuff would be free to entice people to be there. We heard from our Uber driver that the casino was being revamped from the Hard Rock so the decor makes sense but then things have yet to be updated. The bed was comfy but other than that and the location. It was just meh.

Food options were limited to Salt Grass, Bean and Bread and The Oyster Bar. Food was fair but service was slow. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were very large and fluffy. Pillows made your neck stay at an odd angle. Kind of painful.

So so.....

At check in I was told I was upgraded with a water view. We had a water view but was told prior we would have a water view and a balcony. While being told they had no more rooms like that. Second condition of the hotel was very dirty, the sink plunger didn't work and shower was ice cold. Very noisy between the walls. Not very peaceful. Size of the room was great and view was beautiful

Perfect spot for a quick getaway

Golden Nugget is in a great location - it was an easy walk to the concert event we were in town to attend. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was responsive and helpful. Parking was easy. Our lunch at Saltgrass Steak House was delicious in a wonderful atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.
