First off Receptionist had a bad attitude, we asked for None Smoking room and instead the people next to us were smoking causing us a Headache, unfortunately we have unpacked all of our stuff before we noticed all of these, also the fans fron the AC was making a horrible noise when turning on, as well as the ceiling Fan not letting sleep, when I checked in I asked for a Lake view room instead we got street views room, aldo the Jacuzzi didn t work, i asked them to come and check it out and no one showed up. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, it was our first anniversary and I didn t want my wife to have a bad experience, also the hotel s pool was closed which I was not aware until we got there, also Casino s game Table was closed during the day, so I had to go to another casino to play the game I wanted, Frankly it was all bad for us.

Not my favorite stay.....the phones didn't work properly. I was unable to use the Housekeeping or Guest Services buttons and had to dial 0 to get anything. I requested an extra pillow and finally had to stop a member of the housekeeping staff in the hallway to get one. (The next day, 2 more arrived.) The bathroom was dirty and needed repainting. The television didn't work for most of our stay. We were told that a "ticket was being submitted." The staff was largely unrespnsive.

Entire property is under construction without a single mention of it on their website. Advertising newly renovated rooms. I understand and am patient with things like this, but some "excuse our dust and pieces of wood and wires from the cieling that might hit you in the head that you have to walk under". Left some items in our room and checked out 4 hours ago, and not a single staff member that was helpful in locating it, nor knowledge of who the person was that cleaned the room. Asked for a Supervisor name or contact info and security told me to call HR. Parking is 25$ a night!! Probobly to help them pay for liability insurance if you get knocked in the head by some drywall. Medium black coffee and a Blueberry muffin from their cafe Room was great, beautiful view bed clean and comfortable, but the gauntlet to get to the room was ridiculous.

Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by a series of issues that significantly impacted our comfort and sense of safety at the Golden Nugget. Shortly after we arrived we discovered that our air conditioning was not working, making the room uncomfortably warm (75 degree's or higher most of the day). I spoke to two different people on two different days asking for help but nobody ever came up to fix it. Instead, a fan was left by our front door. Additionally, the shower was broken. It sprayed water everywhere making it difficult to get ready and enjoy our day as planned. The most concerning part was the fact that the door to our room would not shut or lock properly unless slammed shut—a serious security concern. Lastly, one of the end table lamps in the room was broken and non-functional. While I understand that occasional maintenance issues may arise, experiencing all of these problems during a single stay—especially at this price point—was extremely disappointing. I expected a much higher standard of quality and care from a property with your reputation. I am kindly requesting a response and appropriate compensation to reflect the conditions we experienced. I hope you will take this feedback seriously so that future guests do not encounter similar challenges. Thank you for your consideration

Poor service / poor quality

90% of staff we interacted with was not friendly. Front desk doesn’t answer the phone. Called multiple times for toilet paper. Walked down to the front desk asked for toilet paper. Finally had to find a maids cart in the hallway to grab myself toilet paper. Oven was broke in the coffee store. Toilet and tub flooded. Extremely hot in the hotel and casino. Was not aware or renovation and pool was closed.

Well let me start my saying I was disgusted by the fact that we are rewards members and when we arrived a couple hours early the front desk told us our room was ready and if I wanted to check in I would have to pay another 25 bucks on top of the 220 I paid for the room. And then when we came back to check in at 4 there was a huge line of people who also had to wait till 4 because they didn't want to pay the 25 also. So got to wait in line and listen to how pissed off every one of those people were also. And then forced to pay another 22 bucks for parking for rewards members? The entire place in under construction and you still charge full price even though the pool is totally closed and you didn't bother to mention that when we booked the room. And then to end the trip we stopped outside our room to grab a water from the vending machine, since you charge 2 bucks a bottle for the water in the room. So that basically makes the complimentary coffee 2 bucks a cup also. Well the vending machine doesn't display the price of a bottle of water. Now we know why when we got home and checked debit card charges and were shocked to see you ripped us off for ten bucks for a bottle of water. So you obviously don't display the price because you know no one would pay 10 bucks for a bottle of water. We were happy to book with your hotel because we thought it was better than Hard Rock the last time we stayed with you. We were extremely disappointed with the place when we left.

Nightmare Hotel

For our fifty year anivrsary we decided to go to Tahoe. We thought it would be nostalgic. It was more like the vacation from hell. The first thing we noticed was the hotel is under construction. Then there was no valet service to park our car. Once at the check in, the young ladies at the front desk where pleasant but had to let us know there would be no daily room service .We were given a room in the original tower and when we got to our floor, the elevator's door opened to the vile stench of insecticide. We were tired and hungry from our road trip so we decided to just go eat. When we got back from the restaurant the stench was still there. We tried to find accomodations in another hotel but supposedly there were vacancies available. The next morning the smell was still there. We wanted to cancell the rest of our stay but they were going to charge us for the second night any way so the receptionist was able to find another room in the new tower. Here we had, a nicer room with our own deck outside. However, when we got back inside the room we could not close the door to the deck because it was not hung properly and there was no handle to pull it closed. The bead that holds the glass was missing and air filtered in. The temperature could not be set and the AC could not be shut off. At 2:30 a.m. we were put in a THIRD room where I could shut off the AC, so I thought. At 7:00 a.m. it kept coming on long enouhg to wake us every 30 minutes. The pool was under repair.

I booked in January hoping for pool time for summer but the pool was closed in June during summertime for renovation which was disappointing. And all rooms were being renovated so we were in a room that was not updated and was in an okay condition. The room had exposed outlet wires and we had kids with us, bathtub plug was broken, ac barely worked, and bed sheets and pillows were not very comfortable.

It was a good stay for the price. Golden Nugget really needs to let people know. Casino and hotel is under construction. One of the towers is updated and the other is not. I had to pay extra $30 to stay in the new tower hotel when checking in it is very confusing and parking is paid $20 for the day. There is no carts to take your luggage up to your room or anyone to help you the only way I would stay here again is if all of this is fixed thanks hope this helps someone.
