An Experience Devoid of Quality

I booked this motel on short notice, trusting from its high rating average that it would be nice. That was a mistake. The staff member working the front desk was very friendly. That’s where the pleasantries ended. In retrospect, I can’t believe I paid >$100 for the night I spent here. It’s abundantly clear that the revenue from this place is not being reinvested into the property. Picture it: you step directly from the parking lot and into your room, walking down a red and green striped carpet that seems to exist outside of the human concept of time. The walls are an unlikely combination of yellowed beige, gray and split-pea green. Everything from the door to the furniture to the window valances is scuffed, chipped, downright broken or damaged in someway. Most shockingly of all, there is a coffee maker and an assortment of cups and tea bags in the bathroom (surely moistened, dried and remoistened by the showers and bodily functions of countless strangers) directly next to the toilet. Literally within 24” of it. Someone could sit on the toilet, brew coffee or tea, drink it and eliminate its waste from their body without ever getting up. The thought haunts me.

It was fine. We arrived super late and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and the room was clean. It was a little weird that the rooms have a door that opens to the outside like a motel, but also an indoor entrance. Our outside door didn’t lock, so we were offered a different room but the ac wasn’t working well there so we just kept our original room and kept the deadbolt in place on the broken door.

A hotel is ( what it is ) most are clean, and have what u need . What makes a stay at a hotel are the staff ! The staff at quality inn west on tn 68 in sweetwater are EXCELLENT!!! Aside from coming in the bathroom to wipe me, this was the best stay at a hotel I’ve ever had !!!

The staff are very nice! Room was clean! The 1 negative in the room was the light at night that comes in the front window was bright! The curtain did not cover all of it! The pool area was nice. The only thing was the chlorine in the room was so strong it was burning your eyes. The breakfast was good!

The bathroom door doesnt look like it was ever cleaned. The air conditioner worked good but looked broke. Stayed for 6 days never offered room service. They serve the same breakfast every morning.

Wonderful except one issue

Everything about my stay was beautiful. It was a wonderful property. I loved the back. I wish I could’ve had a balcony, but that’s OK. It was all worth it except for checking in the woman at the front desk was very beautiful, but she was not friendly in anyway, and she treated me as if I was not welcome. I didn’t understand this. I was a last-minute Check in because we canceled from another area of the state and decided to travel over but this was the only part about our stay there that was not comfortable was the way I was treated upon check-in. Everything else was gorgeous thank you!
