the good: the front desk staff were lovely. The person who checked us in was friendly and made the whole process easy. We thought the free beverages at the bar were a great feature. We don’t drink alcohol but we were still able to use the vouchers for sodas and our child was able to get a little Shirley temple which they loved! The lobby was beautiful and very spacious. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The food was great! There were a ton of options plus a woman who was making fresh omelettes!
the not so great: the room was very small and the bed was not comfortable. If you prefer a very firm bed, you may love it but we did not. No one slept well. We were a touch disappointed that their walking path to the mall wasn’t covered or even plowed. We enjoyed the pool but thought it could have been cleaner. there was noticeable grime on some of the tiles but otherwise not too bad!
the bad: at 9:30ish-am we got an insistent knocking on our door even though we have a do not disturb sign on the door. My husband answers and it’s a cleaning man who tells us we need to check out. Excuse me? Check out time hasn’t even approached yet. I’ve paid for this room until that point. If the management wants to knock after guests are supposed to have left or even call the rooms and politely tell them it’s time, fine. The rudeness of the knocking and dismissal were extremely off-putting to us. You’re telling me you needed the room that bad? Unprofessional for sure.
