Hotel is very good and the staff and amenities are excellent. Great rooftop restaurant and bar with a great view. Our room was rather small and the bathroom was barely manageable because it was so small and they crammed in the bidet and shower. But, that is probably our fault as we booked a basic room. The wifi also was very weak and not effective most of the time. Breakfast was very good and parking was very convenient.

Okay but not sure about 5 star

Nice view for breakfast, but besides that it wasn’t really a 5 star hotel, the room was very small for the cost, the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the breakfast wasn’t the best, for a 5 star hotel. Location is great and the staff were lovely though.

Beautiful hotel right on the waterfront with parking (paid) just in front. Excellent service and breakfasts. Room elegant with high ceilings but would benefit from air conditioning for the summer months. Easy walking to seafront and around Ortigia.

What a beautiful property transporting you back in time. Excellent hotel staff kindly arranged a breakfast box to go as we were leaving early. We did not even ask for it. How generous and kind. We shall return.

5 Star in Ortigia with a spa and safe easy parking

Location, location, location! Great location, many Americans staying here end of June, not why we booked, still very Italian hotel. Reception staff are professional and kind, upgraded one of our two triple rooms but we had booked sea view rooms and we did not receive this, we let it slide without mentioning. Breakfast was above average and the servers were outstanding, lovely view and fresh food, good coffee. We had drinks at the roof top bar one evening, great service but over priced drinks, paying for the view, expensive spritz is too much. The spa was wonderful, we had booked three Acqua express treatments and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, very professional service in a charming venue, don’t miss the small museum next to the spa room with Ancient Greek ruins! Parking was the best, right across the street from the hotel, safe and easy, 15€ per day was economical for Ortigia. Our only mention is the bathroom had mold on the marble walls, just a small bit but I am allergic, though we kept the door closed and it was ok. The nightly cookie service was a treat, so try the almond bites! We will stay here again!
