Great location and great atmosphere

We came to Tofino as part of our honeymoon to see bears but our tour got cancelled. The hotel was super nice and the staff welcoming The restaurant was lively and the food super tasty

We chose a view of the bay rather than the court yard. The street can be noisy. And the rooms are over the bar so early am patrons exiting carry the party into the street. Ear plugs are offered at check in.

Great location, cute with lovely lounge

Great location, super cute hotel, especially the lobby area. Was a very nice touch to get a drink upon check-in and the staff was lovely. Couple of things in our room that could have been better: 1) there was no outlet in the bathroom (!?!) & 2) it was a double bed (the room overview said it would be a queen) in a queen frame. Because the frame was too large for the bed, we kept mud-judging where the corners were and our shins are covered in bruises - ouch!

The best part about the Maq is the building. Love the old character mixed with modern quirkiness. The front desk staff were 2/5. Next time we will pay a bit more to get a location on the water with hot tub etc. and better staff.

A nice, no nonsense hotel.

No frills here, but that's A-OK. It was clean, the hotel people were very helpful. The walls are a bit thin and it felt a bit like staying in a dorm room, but overall I'm not upset with this particular booking. I would recommend it.

We decided to cancel about 48 hours before our stay due to a nearby fire and my husbands health issues, making smokey air a risk to him. When I contacted them, they refused to refund any money at all. Very upsetting
