Everything about her stay here was great, check-in was easy, staff very helpful and accommodating, rooms were clean and the views were amazing. Rooms are a little small, but perfect enough for what you need. Not there to spend time in the room anyways. The bathrooms were large and tub was great! I hope that they figure out a way to make viewing Godzilla outside safe again cause it was a bummer that it was supposed to be able to walk out on that balcony. A ton of restaurants and if you wanna feel like you’re truly Tokyo, this is definitely a spot to be. Would recommend.

Safe from Godzilla

Centrally located in Kabukicho (red light) area; the area is not clean but it is fun and always something to look at. The hotel breakfast is not good, set menu and expensive. Coffee is over $AUD10. Rooms are small' need to book a 3 person room for 2 people. You can see Godzilla through the glass, but you can't get near it for a photo, so is a bit of a gimmick.

Great location

The hotel itself is a landmark in shinjuku. It is very convenient and easy to access. Since it is located in Kabukicho, it is always busy and we are able to find food late at night. The room is small but I believe it is the norm in Shinjuku. Nice bathroom for soaking after long walking days. Staff are helpful and friendly. It has laundromat on premises but the dryer does not work very well. One thing I do not like the hotel is the lobby located on 8th floor, that means need to take elevator to 8th fl first and then to my floor. It may take some time to go up to the room.

Compact, convenient, comfortable. Very helpful staff. Centrally located, walking distance from shopping, dining and subways. No vegetarian options at breakfast. Godzilla is currently not accessible for visitors. Concierge service was very good and Yogi was generous with his time to search for us the vegetarian restaurants for breakfast in early hours to accommodate our travel plans and also provided us a booklet for veg dining in Tokyo. We will definitely stay again. In fact, we will be returning in few days for overnight stay before flying home.

This was our first trip to Japan. I would never stay in Shinjuku again. It is the only place in Tokyo where I felt it was dirty and rowdy. I saw a man follow and proposition a girl walking down the sidewalk. As it relates to the hotel, the staff were friendly & helpful, but our room smelled stale immediately upon entry. The bed was the hardest, most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The pillows were awful. The hotel bar closed at 9:30. I did not want to hang out in Shinjuku late at night after dinner and would have enjoyed sitting in the hotel bar but it was not an option.

Great location to see all the lights and how busy it is. Ideal location for the major train station. Rooms dont have a lot of storage so that was the only downside. The local area has a lot of interesting bars and people so be careful of going into some bars.
