Nice hotel for arches

Nice stay at a hotel that is more “hands off” in amenities and staffing. Kitchen was nice to have. Wish the pool had more shade. Overall it was incredibly quiet and an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Enjoyed our stay at Red Sands. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for easy access to Capitol Reef. The room was clean and well equipped. Loved the pretty view behind the hotel in the morning. We were very happy with our stay.

Everything was great at Red Sands. The check-in probably took less than 90 seconds. The staff were wonderful. The lobby area is beautiful with great views out the back through large windows. We took advantage of the outdoor areas. We didn't use the pool area but it looked nice. It was a short drive to restaurants and a general store and bakery where we resupplied for our trip. We didn't eat in the hotel's restaurant becayse we weren't hungry so I can't comment on it. The hotel has a self-serve laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers which I used and they worked perfectly. There's a change machine in the laundry as well as vending with laundry soap and dryer sheets. We enjoyed the self-serve coffee bar in the lobby with coffees, teas and hot chocolate. The lobby is a cozy place to hang out and you can't beat the view from the patio. Our room was comfortable and we slept well. I highly recommend Red Sands.

Decent refurbished hotel with large yard out in the back overlooking pastures with cows and horses. Has a fire ring to sit around, but it was monopolized by single group of people while I was there, so I was unable experience it. The hotel has low flow shower heads and toilets to save water, but then had a garden hose sprinkler watering the same patch of ground in the yard for hours. I would recommend getting a room a the second floor. One knock is that the description on Expedia said the room had a balcony. That is a lie. There are only a few rooms on the first floor with patios.

We had a double queen room. It was clean. I think there were some things that need some TLC when time permits. The mattress wasn't comfortable for me. Wasn't very noisy despite the motorcycle tour group that was there. It didn't make parking a little harder. I picked a mountain view room but it was more of a butte view on the side we were on. We didn't use the restaurant.

Nice hotel but eat elsewhere.

Modern hotel, cathedral rooms are large, beds very comfortable, nice linens. Oddly for such large rooms, the bathroom is small with very tiny vanity. Hard for 2 people to use at same time. Avoid restaurant at hotel. Food mediocre, service slow and disorganized. Eat in town of Torrey, several great choices.

Great place to stay near Capitol Reef NP!

This hotel has a great location and is near Capitol Reef National Park. Our room had a great view. Breakfast at their cafe was great! Just don't check-in late, or you might get the judgy "host" who made it a point to look at his watch as we checked in from a long trip from Denver. We checked in before 10 pm, but he just seemed so "put-out" and disturbed. Not hospitable at all! Other than that... it was a great stay!

This was a very clean hotel. The staff were all friendly and very polite. The beds were great and the room darkening blinds worked well. The laundry facility is a plus at $3 per load. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. The service was great and the food was good

While overall the hotel was nice, it unfortunately only takes one situation. I was asleep in bed with my dog, whom i paid for ($50). At 10:30pm our room was accessed and a staff member walked intobthe room unannounced. As my dog and I were both startled and on edge, a nice relaxing evening was not what we received.
