Our stay at Anchuca was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was polite and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were dining amazing, as usual. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dinner and grits for breakfast.

You can really tell that the staff wants the guests to enjoy their stay. The breakfast was tremendous. We had dinner there and it was awesome, I highly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We had the cutest, most personable little server, but I’ve forgotten her name. My only complaint was the housekeeper asked if I wanted service and I told her I just needed to replace some beverages and she said she would do that. She never returned.

Fine Location and Staff -- Good Show

The breakfasts are ample and served by the plate--quite good, with fruit. We ate one evening meal--again quite good with a very tender filet mignon. The staff (especially Michael) love their town and represent it well; the guide (Robert Terry) to the Vicksburg Battlefield they recommended is personally known to them and did a great job. The owners are quite young and locally prominent. Quite well done, all in all.

This was are first visit to the Anchuca Historic Mansion. We are in love...our room was stunning,#10 .The history of this home is more than I can write. Staff grand, and the food is beyond great. We are looking forward and planning are next stay already, next time room #5.

A beautiful historic home. Being able to tour it was fun. Our room was above the dining area so it was a little noisy. Our only complaint was the early dinner reservation. We had hoped to dine later but there were no time slots available. Yet, the dining room was only half filled at the later time when we left. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay.

Anchuca - A wonderful place to stay in Vicksburg

It is nothing short of a privilege to be able to stay at Anchuca. A superb house with a wonderful heritage and history. The meal in the restaurant was wonderful, excellent food and great service. We would happily stay for a month. The bedroom was very well appointed and super comfy. Finally a special shout out to the breakfast server who talked with real depth of knowledge about the siege and the role that the house played during and after the siege. You would not be disappointed.

The floor in the room where we stayed slanted significantly. Also, we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs by ourselves. There was no advance notice of this. Bed was not comfortable. Dinner food was good, but the breakfast was not: a scoop of grits, bacon, and some fruit. At night we could hear the people in the dining room below us. In the morning, the cleaning staff was on the patio below us and talking loudly
