The outside of the property was pretty dirty. The balcony, chairs, door, and window to the balcony were filthy. Room was clean aside from the flying huge roach in the room. There was a concert all day Saturday and Saturday night until 11:00 pm in the area right next to the hotel which was extremely loud and annoying. The breakfast was good. Great variety of foods to choose from! The breakfast attendant and the parking attendant were awesome.

Room was big as it was a suite, and was very clean. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Virginia Beach, employees really keep it going. Hotel was full due to airshow at Oceana. Only one elevator was working and waits could be very extensive. Other than that, a good stay.

The only problem we encountered is elevator waiting for almost 20-30 minutes before going up because another elevator is broken. They have the best breakfast that we enjoyed for 2 days.

Fantastic view however the facility needs attention. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Waited 20 minutes for an elevator when it was time to checkout. Staff not the friendliest…1st evening there, returned from dinner to find another guest holding our door wide open. Office assigned the couple our room. No apology given to me when I went to the office. I was told the staff member didn’t complete our check-in process. After that experience decided we won’t stay here again.

In the past my husband and I have stayed at this location quite a few times. It had been about a year ago prior to this recent visit from Sept 15-17, 2025. The weather was not good with flooding in Virginia Beach of over 7 inches of rain and wind gust around 50 mph over those 3 days. But we will NEVER stay at this specific hotel again. We were assigned to room 310 on the 3rd floor due to the high winds. Usually we stay higher up. The conditions on the 3rd floor were horrible. The heavy rain was flooding the hallway and eventually the rain started leaking in our bedroom. I called to the front desk at the gentleman that was on duty eventually came up and brought a trash can to catch the water and was not apologetic of our inconvenience at all. I spoke the manager upon checkout to ask for some type of reimbursement towards our stay and she credited half of a night stay of $78 but I feel the company should reimburse our entire stay because there is mold on the 3rd floor where the rain was leaking through the hallway. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is extremely old and in need of much repair but it appears that as long as Comfort Suites can continue to book rooms without investing money in renovations to the building, it will remain in this horrible condition.

The area (Daytona Shores) was calmer compared to Daytona. The pool was under construction and water leaked under shower door. Most beach gift shopes carried a lot of same things.

The suite was large, the staff helpful enough, breakfast was good and the gentleman in charge of it was fantastic! The view of the beach was great. The doors were rusty and hard to open, I had to ask for bedding for the couch and for coffee pods every day.

Not that great. Bathroom shower had black hairs all over the walls in shower. Shower door leaked soaking the bathroom floor. Ask housekeeping if I could have extra towel and wash clothe, told me no she was only doing checkouts. Lock to balcony was broke. Door was too heavy to open and close. Husband had to do this for me. DO NOT PLAN ON USING THIS HOTEL AGAIN. One positive was the breakfast and the Man helping out. Very friendly. Nice singing voice!
