Loved the secluded feel of the property, I felt like I was in my own little space. Definitely a one-of-a-kind place to stay! Shannon was a great host (and has the cutest little dog!) and long time resident of the area who shared a lot of knowledge about the volcano with me.

Nice Place

Nice place to stay! The property is lush with beautiful flowers, and the host answered all our questions and gave us great local recommendations. Only ten minutes’ drive to the park. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the way the owners provided fresh fruits every morning, particularly the perfect papaya! The beds and sheets were very comfortable. The hot tub was kept at a beautifully hot temperature, though wasn’t sure of the chemical balance on the last day.

The host called with volcano information which I appreciated greatly. The property was large and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of extras and the hot tub was hot and ready.

Close to the volcano!

This room is in a large 2-story house converted for purposes of rental. I believe there were 5 or 6 rooms total. It was a nice room with a jetted tub with a hand held shower wand, separate toilet and sink, and an alcove that had a small fridge and microwave. It was nice that there were some snacks and fresh fruit provided. The reason we chose it was it's proximity to Volcano National Park. It was a nice place for the single night we stayed.

We booked a room at the last minute after our original booking canceled due to plumbing issues, and although the host at the Crater Lodge was pleasant, our room was surfaced cleaned only and the breakfast was light fruit, biscotti cookie and packaged outmeal. A coffee machine & coffee was supplied and there was Internet with a variety of TV channels. The property was very rustic & quiet, but it could use some upgrades & a deep clean.

The folks are really nice there. The property is really beautiful. The hot tub on the property was really nice.It can get pretty cold there at night in volcano and there weren't enough blankets and no heater.. it's a nice touch that there's an in-room jacuzzi tub but it was not clean.

Lush setting.

Cozy, in a wonderful setting. Just minutes from the Volcano National Park. Reasonably priced, especially for a last minute booking. Would stay again. No doubt.
