Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay. Nice location on a quaint midwest small town main street. Lots of activity in the stores and on the street. Many close by eating and drinking establishments in walking distance. Feels like a safe environment. Check in was a breeze. Very pleasant staff. The hotel feels large: wide hallways, large lobby and breakfast area. Elevator lobby was huge, almost excessive but definitely not a complaint. I'm a retired firefighter so l notice modern alarm systems and especially the fire sprinklers. For us the room was quiet but others in our group complained about the noise from nearby railroad interfering with sleep. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Nice tv but finding a channel was confusing. Was looking for "normal" television networks but the were difficult to find. Wanted CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, FOX, etc. Appeared to be some streaming channels but I grew frustrated and gave up on the tv. Plenty of usb ports and electrical outlets for devices. There was some funky looking black stuff around and air duct on the wall near the ceiling. I also noticed what appeared to be stain and dripping from a leak in ceiling in breakfast eating area. But- we will stay here again if ever in Cedar Falls.

Easy walk to downtown events!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy. Shower was really nice. Easy walk across the street to a show at the theater as well as dinner down the block.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown Cedar Falls Iowa. Staff was great, but we had no heat in our room the first night. The staff tried to get us heat but was unsuccessful. We had to sleep in our coats. The hotel was booked so we had no other room to be put in. We payed 2x more than what the rooms normally cost due to the NCAA Wrestling Tournament going on which we were attending. You would think for that price we would have heat in the room. The hallway and lobby was warmer than our room the 1st night. The next morning i went to the front desk a 3rd time and told them we still had no heat. They were finally able to put us in a different room the nezt night.
