Centrally located hotel equipped with everything we needed. Atop the Plimmer Steps from Lambton Quay (weekdays 8-5 you can use the Plimmer building’s escalators and the car park elevator from level 4 to 8A to escape most of the steps!) we found most of what we wanted to see in Wellington within easy walking distance.

Clean room, comfy bed and great linens. Spacious. Awesome location for walking to all the key attractions. Be prepared for stairs down to the waterfront. Loved our stay here.

The Gilmore Hotel is absolutely fabulous! It’s in a great location in Wellington, with easy walking access to one of the best shopping streets along with some of the historic district areas. Staff is wonderful and the facilities have been updated and are very modern. Would highly recommend!

Great stay here staff helpful as requested easy access to lift as my wife and myself have both had hip replacement and didn’t want me to lift our travel luggage to far. Was allowed to park at rear of property for easy access. Lovely location for city centre and ferry terminal

We paid a reasonable price for a perfectly practical suite. Thank you! The parking arrangements need to be clearly explained when booking. It would help to make arrangements with the buildings across the street for guests to use elevator to The Terraces. Except for the uncertainty of convenient parking, this was a very good experience.

Great location, friendly front desk staff, clean safe property. Our queen room was small but had everything we needed for a week-long stay. Kitchen equipped with exactly 2 of everything, but staff very willing to provide any extra needed.
