Pot fumes

Every evening, the pot smell would start wafting into our room from the lobby. It was horrible! I would not stay there again because it was making me so ill. They do room service upon request, which I requested to be done every single day. The first day they did it and it was awesome. They even took dirty towels that we had hanging. The next day they forgot to make the bed. It was very odd. The pool was nice.

The staff was extremely helpful. We were first booked at GuestLodge, but realized it would be hard for my elderly mother to get to the second floor, which is the only room they had. They allowed us to take the last ground floor room at Travelodge, their sister site down the street. We greatly appreciated the accommodations.

I don't know why this property is rated so high. It was ordinary at best. 23 or 24 parking spots for 35 rooms. 4 or 5 of those are for compact cars only. The carpet was FILTHY. I put on brand new, never worn white socks and walked across the room twice and they were already getting black. Any socks that I wore in the toom for an evening were completely black on the bottom, by the end of the evening. The trim, paint and walls were basically lipstick on a pig. There were parts of the concrete block wall that were still visible. Painted but very obviously block walls. The trim around doors and windows was not really trim at all. It was rough cut and painted (not sanded smooth and had no shaped or rounded edges--just plain wood) that was crudely bordering the doors and windows. The shower head was from the 70's or 80's or something. The door banged agajnst the dresser if you weren't careful because the dresser was to close to the door, allowing the door to hit it before the door was open all the way. It was an ok room that looked ok at first but the longer you were there you hegan to realize just how cheap and dirty it was.

Good value for the price. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The setting is not the best, but on the other hand, the room is really just for sleeping, and in that regard, the furnishings are really very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay! We were comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean! Shampoo and conditioner provided were both empty on arrival, but I would assume we just got unlucky. Overall would definitely stay again!

The rooms could use an update. The rugs, curtains and furniture are old, and the plumbing fixtures could use a replace. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for us and there were many restaurant choices nearby.
