It’s a bit of a train station. Very big and lacks personable design. Lake view room on ground floor is on a path so need to keep curtains drawn. No mini bar or bottled water in the room. No wifi, no air conditioning and of course very poor cell reception. Ceiling light stays on in bathroom all night, no way to turn off.
In common areas, furniture is musty and old, dinning area is very big and impersonal as hotel has lots of rooms. They should create two dining offers. Food is ok at best but steaks killed with sauces. Salad somewhat wilted.
Breakfast buffet is barely ok, eggs are over cooked and dry, no toast or toaster, you have to ask for things, OJ, milk, etc. Which sort of kills idea of a buffet.
Basically the hotel could use a major overhaul.
Bar is small for the hotel size and incredibly the hotel (on the lake with nice vista) makes zero use of its outdoor terrace and patio. No chairs aside from 4 or 5 rockers for 200 people or more.
Clearly hotel is resting on laurels of past and the lack of competition in the park.
