16時にチェックイン可能なはずでしたが、17時にチェックインしに行ってもまだ準備ができていない、1時間後もまだ。最終的には18時半まで待ってと言われました。その日は吹雪いていて、大量の荷物も持っており、子ども達もかかえみんな疲れていたため絶望的でした。特に謝罪もなく、高いお金を出しているのに残念でした。待ち時間にレストランに入ろうと思いましたが21時まで予約を取れないと言われ一度は断念しましたが、もう一度交渉したら、すぐに入れてもらうことができ、本当に感謝です。ここでレストランに入らなかったら、最悪の思い出となっていたことでしょう。ご飯も美味しかったです。 その他、設備やサービスは問題なかったです。

*5/5 stars - A Must-Stay at Old Faithful Inn!* I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Old Faithful Inn, and I must say it's a true gem. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a stunning log lobby and massive stone fireplace. The room was updated and had everything I needed, and the food selection at the on-site restaurant was great at reasonable prices. But what truly made my stay special was the quick access to Old Faithful geyser - I watched it erupt multiple times without having to change my plans. My only surprise was the low ratings, but I believe it's because people have different expectations. For me, the experience was well worth it, and I'd highly recommend staying here. *Highlights:* - _Historic charm_ with modern comforts - _Stunning views_ of Old Faithful geyser - _Convenient location_ with easy access to park - _Warm and welcoming_ staff

The property and building are beautiful. Staff was nice, and tried to help. However, the lodge is constantly busy with tourists walking through, old faithful times are not always updated, and the heat in the room was unbearable. Apparently if the temperature outside drops to a certain point, the heater automatically runs on high. It was suggested to open the window, even though we were a bit concerned about safety, being on the ground floor. All meals are buffet. We did dinner twice, the hosts were awesome. Food was pretty good, but sometimes you have to wait in the buffet line for like 15 minutes. There is no wifi at all, and no television. Glad we were able to experience it, but will stay elsewhere next time.

Chose to stay at the lodge while we toured Yellowstone. Thought it would be more convenient but I quickly regretted it. Paid $500/night for horrible conditions. Very few dining options. In the lodge for dinner they only offered a buffet at $50/person. Food was mid, edible but not worth $50. So many people visit the park so it makes sense that a buffet is the best way to get everyone fed but don’t expect anything great. For breakfast, we skipped the buffet but there weren’t really any other options. Asked an employee and there was one option for hot breakfast sandwiches (similar to a gas station) but they were all out when we went. Other people in line got hot dogs/chili dogs for breakfast (it was 10 am so it was quite comical). The room itself was horrible. The baseboards were dirty and it was very utilitarian. No fridge, AC, microwave, or TV (no WiFi, but my data worked just fine here). They had a radiant heater that clanged and was loud all night. No way to turn it off, we called the front desk and they said nothing could be done. It literally sounded like somebody banging on metal pipes. Sometimes it was quieter but randomly it would get really loud. Made it hard to sleep because it would wake me up in a panic. I could hear the person in the next room snoring. Knob was broken on the sink so we couldn’t use hot water. Staff overall were friendly and helpful, no complaints there. The location made it convenient for visiting, but I would stay outside the park next time.

Returning after 70 years-=memories, but a lot of changes, excellent room overlooking Old Faithful geyser, not a lot of food options as they were close to closing and food prices were very, very high (not what was shown on websites) and quality of buffet not up to price paid but we did our bucket list trip and were grateful for good weather

I feel like, we were time traveled back to 18th or 19th century. It was lack of modern amenities, no wifi, no AC, only radiator heater. It would be best for those who prioritize historical charm and atmosphere. Customer service was also excellent.

We stayed in the main hotel, shared bathroom, the room is so quaint and having a shared bathroom was not an issue for us, there are two stalls, two showers, never waited to use the facilities.

Faithful in future improvements

This review is for the hotel only. Park was great but the Inn was awful. No parking. No room service. No Wi-Fi, no TV, no fridge, no microwave - they call this being sustainable. Radiators for heat produced knocking sound making it hard to sleep. Sound proofing between rooms - nonexistent which also affected our sleep. General store was closed - bottled water at gift shop was very expensive. All nice seating around the big fireplace and main lobby got filled quickly evening time so we couldn't enjoy it (we had 4 people). Signs around the park and the Inn were terrible. Composite walks around the geysers were dangerously slippery when wet - why not just keep using wood? We only ate dinner and lunch around the hotel - food was overpriced and low quality. Hard to make dinner reservation at the Inn for the time you want and 40-50 min wait at Snow Lodge. Bottom line - only good thing about the Inn was the location and the looks of the hotel. The management gets so many people each year that they don't really care about your experience. They know that most people would not come back - it's a classic tourist trap.

We were looking forward to our stay inside the park at this historic property, and knew we were going to pay a higher price for the convenience and experience. However, the exorbitant price of our standard room did not fit the realities of the accommodations, which were run down, dirty, and basic to say the very least. The Inn itself is beautifully unique, but the stay was disappointing overall.

I was really disappointed with the check-in experience. Every time I asked, I was told it would be “just another 30 minutes,” but after more than three hours of waiting, it still wasn’t ready. If it’s going to take that long, why not just be honest and say it’s busy and will take a few hours? Or offer to call when it’s ready. Instead, I had to keep checking back every half hour and waste my time waiting around when I could’ve gone out to do something else. Very frustrating and poorly managed.

The property is beautiful and conveniently located. However, thay only had one option for dinning, buffet. Service at the buffet was not the best. Staff took a long time to attend to the table. The line was long to get the food, and options were very limited. Food and drink were expensive. We stayed the last weekend of the season and they didn’t clean our room during our 4 night stay. When I called the front desk, I was told they didn’t have room cleaning service because it was the last weekend of the season, very unprofessional and unacceptable answer. In addition, there was no Wifi, internet, or call service in the entire property. No TV either, which wasn’t important for me. However, internet and call are important, specially in such remote area. This however is probably the prettiest and most conveniently located property of all the hotels inside the park in my opinion.
