We checked in for Balloon Fiesta weekend and expected the hotel to be ready for the busy event, but it felt understaffed. Valet service was slow — there seemed to be only one person working the whole time, which made pulling up to the hotel difficult. The valet attendant himself was great though — super kind, professional, and clearly doing his best. Check-in was quick, but when we got to our room (1022), there was a strong smell of mold and urine. I tried calling the front desk several times for a room change, but no one answered. About 30 minutes later, the manager texted me back, apologized, and said the hotel was fully booked. They promised housekeeping would come by the next morning. When we returned from the Balloon Fiesta around noon the next day, the room still wasn’t cleaned. The manager said housekeeping was busy, which I understood, but I hoped our room would’ve been prioritized after the night before. When the room was finally serviced, used toiletries weren’t replaced, the TV kept glitching, and the curtains were hard to close. This hotel really needs updates and more staff, especially for a big weekend like this. I feel bad leaving a negative review since it’s an independent property, but this was one of the more disappointing stays I’ve had.

Lovely lobby and pool. Well appointed and spacious rooms. The bar and lounge on the lobby level was very nice for drinks and dinner. But it is the only place for dinner as the other restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. The staff at the front desk as well as the bar staff were all friendly and polite, but, not very focused. When sitting down at the table, it takes forever to get a menu. Appetizers were served after the entrée. Not very organized. When checking in, the front desk person should give you information regarding the pool, the floors it’s on and hours available and same for dining options. It’s a huge place so after checking in, I started walking in the wrong direction. I had to go back to the front desk to ask where the elevators were. The check-in person should at least tell you what direction to walk in as well as information about the hotel. Once I got to the room, I couldn’t reach the front desk with a telephone, or calling them on my cell. My husband had to get dressed and go down to get information. Other than that, we had a very nice day, but I would suggest renting a car to get around the city and see all the highlights.

Hotel room was a fine size and lovely condition. The hotels facilities are limited with limited Opening of coffee shop, shop, bar and restaurants. The reception staff were terrible, failed to answer the phones when called, rude when checking in, incredibly rude when engaging with us and disregarded the fact we were travelling with a toddler - crib was not In the room when we arrived, poor check in service. Downtown area of Albuquerque is grim With nothing to do and uninteresting. Very disappointing all round: we Left a day early due to the hotel service and location as we felt there was nothing to do and staff were Unhelpful.

Stayed here for the balloon fiesta, I know going in prices would be inflated which I was fine with. But with a fancy hotel you expect something a little better than a super 8. The room was very bland, it’s like the went in with a brown sprayer and spray painted everything brown, even the doors. Had an odd smell and not a fresh smell. Water pressure for the shower was really bad. Real small TV in the room not even worth watching on. And to top it off 2$ for pastries that are put out in front where the lobby is. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the valet, other than that it’s super 8 status.

The room was larger than we were expecting. There was a little dust on the night stands but i don't mind that enough to mark anything down. The room was wonderful. It had everything we needed. Fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer.

The property was fine. The front desktop and other stuff seemed overwhelmed, and in general they needed more people on hand. The pool is closed the entirety of my day. They claimed it was due to weather issues. But honestly, there was no reason for the will to be closed. There was occasional sprinkles from the sky, but there was never any thunder or lightning or anything like that. So it was really annoying because I stayed here specifically to have access to the pool.
