This resort was a major disappointment from start to finish.
The check-in experience set the tone — the staff member who assisted us (possibly sitting in for a manager) was unwelcoming and gave the impression that guests were more of a burden than anything else.
The property itself is in very poor condition. Buildings are visibly dirty, paint is peeling everywhere, mildew stains are widespread, and wall tiles and walkways look like they haven’t been pressure-cleaned in years. The resort simply looks neglected.
Our room was another letdown. It was extremely noisy, with little to no soundproofing. We could hear everything — including loud parties at 3 a.m. We reported this issue, and while it was temporarily addressed for one night, the very next day the reception staff acted as though they had no record of our complaint.
The buffet was chaotic. Staff members often argued with each other openly — and as a fluent Spanish speaker, I could understand exactly what was being said. The food itself wasn’t terrible; they offered the basics, and dining quality was at least acceptable compared to the rest of the experience.
Safety was another concern. The property at night is very dark, with minimal lighting. We were placed in the last apartment of the first block, and walking back there after dark didn’t feel safe at all.
Overall, this was my first and definitely my last visit to this property. Poor maintenance, unprofessional staff, and uncomfortable rooms made for a miserable
