Key?!?

This is a nice hotel and a good location. The rooms were a good size for Europe. The only thing that I found kind of sketchy is they have you leave the key at the front desk when you go out it is a card key, but it is on a huge tassel that is heavy so it doesn’t make sense to carry it. The part I didn’t like was whenever we showed up we just asked for a room key and they gave it to us. They didn’t check our name on the reservation or something so I was single women traveling. I felt not as safe that anyone could just come ask for our room key Something to be aware of the tubs are very curved so there’s not really a flat spot and they are high up so you might wanna make sure you request a shower if you’re with someone who has stability issues or has trouble lifting their leg up.

This is defiantly what you would call a unique boutique hotel. The room uniquely decorated, was small but had a comfortable bed. We had a nice view of the canal from our window. Snacks and tea/water were available in the lobby. My wife loved the house cats. The location was centrally located in a quiet part of Amsterdam. The location provided an easy walk to the Van Gogh museum & Rijksmuseum. I would stay here again.

We loved this hotel. It was fancy and unique and gorgeously decorated. We always looked forward to going back to our room! They had pound cake, cookies and lemonade in the lobby 24/7. So fun. The only thing is that there is a cat in the lobby which may bother some people.

Amazing, Instagram-worthy property. Everything is themed and very aesthetically pleasing. Great attention to detail. The location is amazing, within walking distance from many great tourist spots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were whimsical and had a ton of amenities. The breakfast buffet was affordable (and free for kids) and had a wide variety of options. The kids also got gifts at breakfast, which they loved of course. We had a great stay and will definitely come again!

The Estheria was like home away from home! Lovely staff, comfortable room (classic with canal view). Staff were fabulous! Large lounge area full bar. Places to lounge in different areas! Very close to everything about a 15 min walk from central train station! Lovely stay!

Hotel Estherea is a unique hotel in the centre of Amsterdam, close to the 9 Streets. We absolutely loved the decor of the hotel, the attentive staff and the lounge areas of the hotel, which felt like a throwback to a bygone age. Each room has it's own individual decor, and excellent amenities, which makes your stay even more special. If you're lucky you may meet Wimmels the hotel's resident cat, who holds court in the reception. I would highly recommend the hotel, and we will definitely visit again.

Very conveniently location; just steps from everything we wanted to see. Perhaps most people absolutely love the old world charm. But I found the rooms small and inconveniently laid out and a bit of an overload. Service was 100% nice and helpful.

The perfect place to stay in central Amsterdam

This charming hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort and timeless elegance, with traditional decor that gives each room a warm, inviting character.
