Flamboyant hotel with a warm and friendly staff. The entire hotel is richly decorated, making this a fun home base while visiting Amsterdam. The little perks like 24 hr flavored water, coffee and treats add to the homely feel.

The room did not have a natural light window except into an area between the adjoining property. This meant there was no natural light as there was a skyline in this small outside square. Would not stay in a room like this again and they wouldn’t change the room

Really beautiful hotel in a great location. Easy walking distance to many sights. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Not sure why this isn’t a 5 star hotel. Only complaint was the plaque in the bathroom instructed that if you don’t want towels replaced to hang them. Despite hanging our towels they were replaced every day. We didn’t take breakfast at the hotel as there were lots of great options within a few minutes walk. Also, the complementary beverages and treats are a nice touch.

Key?!?

This is a nice hotel and a good location. The rooms were a good size for Europe. The only thing that I found kind of sketchy is they have you leave the key at the front desk when you go out it is a card key, but it is on a huge tassel that is heavy so it doesn’t make sense to carry it. The part I didn’t like was whenever we showed up we just asked for a room key and they gave it to us. They didn’t check our name on the reservation or something so I was single women traveling. I felt not as safe that anyone could just come ask for our room key Something to be aware of the tubs are very curved so there’s not really a flat spot and they are high up so you might wanna make sure you request a shower if you’re with someone who has stability issues or has trouble lifting their leg up.
