This is an older property but was clean and rooms were actually cozy and comfortable. Was quite adequate. Breakfast was not included but available for purchase. An evening meal from the bar was available at night if you wanted a simple pizza or pasta dish. Not a full dinner menu but what they did have was tasty.

The hotel was right next to the train station which was absolutely perfect. Breakfast was also great. The room was small but it was all I needed. Very walkable area to see all the touristy attractions.

Great Location and Clean Room w/a View

Great location right next to Amsterdam Central. Our room had a great view of the IJ river. Surprising that a hotel that undoubtedly has a lot of US guests did not offer CNN.

An outstanding hotel for tourists

We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Amsterdam Centre. The room was small but adeqauet for 2. THe location couldn't be better. Few minutes walk to the train station. Walking distance to the major tourist locations and the boat rides. The Ferry dock is few minutes walk. Numerous restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. The tour operators' pick up locations are also within 10-15 min walk. The breakfast is very good though they don't have a chef making Omelettes !. The dinner menu is limited to Pizza and Pasta and not a full dinner. No room service. Unlike may hotels these days they provided drinking water in the room 2 bottles daily. Tap water is perfectly safe. The staff is outstandng. Very efficient and courteous. No one expects tips ! I wish they would provide facial tissue paper in the room. Certainly worth the price. I strongly recommend it if yopu are looking at practicality and not luxury.

It was very unclean outside with many uncomfortable things going on around: protests, construction, confusion… The staff was not helpful. When we arrived with luggage they told us where to take it and never offered help. We were told there was a restaurant but the choices were very limited. When we asked for lunch restaurant they said “we don’t have lunch!” I asked where to go and they basically shrugged their shoulders. The employees stood around on phones and earbuds in. Our room smelled like marijuana. When we asked for an extra blanket … we waited over an hour for it to arrive. It was overall uncomfortable and unfriendly. They were not welcoming at all.

It was just ok

Very small rooms and bathroom. Seems to be a lot of staff doing a small amount of jobs. Not sure if it was the time Of year but seemed very expensive for a budget hire. Great location .

I had a canal view room which also overlooked the train tracks/ central station. It is exactly what I wanted knowing we would hear the trains at night as my partner has a keen train and ship interest and this was a birthday trip. Saying that the noise was not significant through the night, only after 0600 does the traffic increase. Breakfast options were adequate but not excessive, orange juice was acidic. Very convenient location much is within 20 minute walking distances with many great restaurants and shops as well as canal boat tour operators just steps from the hotel.
