Great location as we were travelling by Eurostar train. This hotel is very close to the station and just few minutes walk to the centre and ferry. Their staff were very friendly. The lobby/breakfast area was clean, welcoming and modern. The rooms were basic but had all we needed. The beds were comfy but possibly extra pillows and duvet would have been nice. Overall would recommend!

Dutch GP. Excellent location basic accommodation.

Two of us stayed here for four nights to visit the Dutch GP. Excellent location, right in the tourist area of Amsterdam and the hotel straddles the railway station which provides train services to Zandvoort racetrack. The room was basic with wifi, tv and room safe. The safe was unusable as it had been left locked by the previous user. No extra pillows in the room, these were available if you asked at reception. We saw many people doing exactly this. No tea/coffee facilities in room. The bar/restaurant was excellent, good food (limited options) and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. Reception staff get a mixed review from us. Some could not be more helpful while one guy was particularly rude as though he didn't want to be interrupted when I advised him that the coffee machine in reception was out of milk. Overall, location wins the day. If you are just looking for a base to head out from then this hotel ticks the boxes. As a final note, the hotel is cashless, as is much of Amsterdam that we saw. Don't bother bringing Euros with you.....You can't give them away.

Prime location but that's it. Overpriced. Bathroom wasn't clean. Towels weren't clean. No kettle/ tea/ water or any other basic amenities.

This hotel is perfectly situated within a walking distance to loads of attraction. Although it is right by the train station we did not find it too loud, we barely even noticed. The room was advertised as sound proof, from the outside noise it was but we could hear others in their rooms. Again this wasnt so much an issue and other guests were quiet. We stayed in a double cozy room which was ideal for us. However, it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Good deal, great locale

Great location if you are using AMS Centraal. i got it a reasonable price. Checkin went well and staff was friendly. It has a bar and kind of a restaurant in the lobby - not much of a menu. One big drawback for me where the restaurant was just off the lobby area and is one large open area. Had to keep waving off flies. The room was clean and quiet. I had a concern at first being right at the train station. Maybe because i was placed on the opposite side of the building but i heard no noise and there was just a smsll side street below with little traffic. By US standards this room was small as was the bathroom and shower. I knew it before going and was not any issue for me, but larger people especially if there is more than one in the room might be uncomfortable. If you are more than average size the shower might give you issues.

Overall an excellent place with very helpful staff and a great breakfast. However, the air conditioner did not work well. But when I alerted the front desk, they arranged to have a fan delivered to the room and a technician to fix the problem. The AC worked very well in the room we stayed in at this same hotel the previous week.

Stayed here because of the train access. The streets are sketchy but the center of Amsterdam IS sketchy! This was the first time we stayed at an Ibis property and will avoid in the future.
