We just need a room to stay after a long day of driving. We basically booked the room 10min before we arrived the hotel at midnight. The staff and the counter is very nice and checked us in within 2 min! Nice big beds, clean bathroom, not a lot of items for breakfast but the huge blueberry muffin is enough for two of us to share! Although we did not have much chance to enjoy the view but it is just next to the River. It worths the money even we just had a short stay!

Confortable hotel. Paid extra for a riverside rooms but did not get. Please pay back the difference. So as to increase confort to guests doors should be sounproofed. There are large gaps under doors, and 5mm gaps around the frame

The property was located near the Arnprior Weir on the Madawaska River, so if you like white noise, it's kinda neat. It's a basic hotel, but relatively decent. The attached restaurant is not open however, so be warned. That said, we had a serious issue with the cleanliness of the place (or lack thereof). The laminate flooring in the room was dirty (if you wore socks or bare feet, it looked like you were outside walking around). Definitely needed a mop out! Making matters worse, the housekeepers decided not to change the bedding in our room (we stayed three nights)...the first night, at least we got clean towels and refreshed shampoo/soap. The second night, no one cleaned a thing! We were in Ottawa most days to visit with my sister in hospital, so when we returned (usually after 9 p.m.) there was no point complaining as the cleaning staff is only there during the day. I appreciate it's a basic hotel, but daily cleaning of a room is a basic understanding that guests have. I should have complained on day one, but I honestly just thought it was an oversight. Be wary is my recommendation - and if you see an issue, report it immediately as I got the impression this might have been a way for management to cut costs for multi-night guests.

The attendant at the reception was great and efficient. She even gave us a room overlooking the beautiful river and falls. The inn itself is older. It is aswell maintained as it can be for that type of place. And from what we could see going around Arnprior, the Quality Inn was the best choice.

The room had a horrible musty smell, there was a loud consistent noise all night above the bathroom area and the mini fridge made a very annoying noticeable bang every it shut off. The exterior of the building wasn't very well lit at night. The staff were very friendly and the room itself was clean.
