It was quite a situation. My job pays for hotel stays twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. I accidentally booked a hotel for the 19th instead of the 20th, late at night around 11:30 PM. Within five minutes of submitting the reservation, I called the hotel to see if they could change my check-in to the 20th, but they refused. Expedia attempted to secure a refund so I could rebook, but the property owner declined that as well. It seems they feel like they got one over on me for $80. However, between now and mid-May, they'll be missing out on 65 hotel stays from me because I won’t be returning. I've already stayed there six times this year. I also feel that Expedia, which I typically use 90% of the time, didn’t do enough to help. As a result, I won’t be using them anymore either.
